Heather McMahan Says Her Family Will Be ‘A Liability’ on Cruise — And Shares How She’s Giving Back (Exclusive)

Heather McMahan has some fears about bringing her husband, Jeff Daniels, and mom, Robin McMahan, on her forthcoming podcast cruise.

“It’s gonna feel like summer camp. I’m so excited to get everybody on the boat and for us just to let it rip and have the best time ever,” Heather, 38, told Us Weekly exclusively while promoting her Stouffer’s Supreme partnership. “Do I think bringing my mom and Jeff is a good idea? No, they’re a liability.”

Heather joked that she’s “gonna have to keep a life jacket” on Robin for the entire cruise. Her husband, on the other hand, will be a hit among her “Absolutely Not” podcast listeners.

“Jeff will just be in the casino teaching all the girlies how to play poker,” she continued. “It’s gonna be so much fun.”

New Housewife alert? Comedian Heather McMahan sat down with Us Weekly’s “Getting Real with the Housewives” podcast and exclusively revealed that not only has she been approached about being a Housewife, but she’d also consider it — under certain circumstances. “They loosely reached out to my agents during the [Coronavirus] pandemic. And I was like, […]

Next month, Heather and her fans will set sail on the four-day Absolutely Knot cruise from Miami to the Bahamas.

“It’s wild because we’ve taken two years to plan this cruise, and it’s around the corner. I’m actively shooting this campaign for Stouffer’s right now, going across America. I’m back on tour next week,” Heather said. “My head feels like it’s spinning in all the best ways. In a month, I’m gonna be on a cruise ship with 2,000 fans. Like, what are we doing? This is kind of how I work though. I’m really pumped. It’s gonna be so much fun.”

Heather teamed up with Stouffer’s Supreme to surprise families with the last name “Pantry” and, yes, fill their pantries. She also got the “amazing” opportunity to donate 10,000 boxes of Stouffer’s Supreme Shells & Cheese to various food pantries in the families’ respective cities during her trip around America.

“It’s been the coolest experience. Not only am I getting to introduce this new product, the Stouffer’s Supreme Shells & Cheese, but I’m also getting to give back to local communities,” Heather told Us, noting that the weeklong trip was “a wild ride.”

“I’ve been literally driving around in a giant box truck passing out macaroni and cheese,” Heather added. “I feel like I’m running a game show, and it has been lightning speed running from house-to-house and Pantry family to Pantry family.”

Aside from meeting all the families, which is all shown in a video uploaded by Stouffer’s, Heather said it was “incredible” to get to see all these communities — and of course, to get a chance to give back.

“One in seven people in this country rely on food pantries for their basic food needs. That was a shocking statistic to me,” she comedian said. “So to be able to go back, really get in touch with the communities and see how Stouffer’s is giving back with stocking these pantries with Stouffer’s Supreme, it’s been a real eye-opening journey.”
