Gypsy-Rose Blanchard is enjoying the “magic” of motherhood.
On Tuesday, March 18, the reality TV star, 33, shared a rare photo of her baby daughter, Aurora Raina Urke, on her Instagram. The image includes a close-up of the two-month-old baby’s arms as she’s being held. The bottom of the photo included an uplifting quote, “Trust the magic of new beginnings.”
Aurora appears to be wearing a shirt from Disney’s The Lion King.
“💗,” Blanchard simply captioned the Instagram post.
Blanchard shares Aurora with her partner Ken Urker. The pair announced on Wednesday, Jan. 1, that they had welcomed their first baby together on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024.
Shortly after welcoming her daughter, Blanchard posted a statement on her Instagram Stories, revealing whether or not she’d be posting more photos of her daughter.
“To everyone asking, No, I will not be posting pictures of Aurora,” Blanchard wrote. “I understand everyone’s excitement and we appreciate the support, but we value the privacy and safety of our daughter.”
Since those initial Instagram posts, she has shared four photos of her daughter but has never revealed Aurora’s face. She first shared an image to celebrate Valentine’s Day and added a photo of her two Valentines, which included Urker in an armchair as he cradled Aurora. She had her head turned to the side, could be seen wearing a rainbow onesie, and was lying flat on her father’s chest. “My two loves on Valentine’s Day 🥰 @kenurker,” Blanchard wrote in her caption.
On March 7, she posted the trailer for Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up season 2. Towards the end of the clip, Blanchard, Urker and their daughter are seen in the labor and delivery room.
The following day, she posted a mirror selfie, wearing a black front-facing baby carrier while only one of Aurora’s little legs was slightly visible. “#momlife #gypsyroseblanchard,” Blanchard captioned the post.
Then, on March 13, she included a snapshot of her dad, Rod, with Aurora resting on his torso. The infant was cuddled up in a light pink onesie, and her back was to the camera.
“Second chances come in small blessings. 💕 #grandpalove,” she captioned the adorable photo.
Blanchard previously spoke to PEOPLE about her personal feelings about raising a daughter, explaining that she feels a bit “relieved” to have a girl rather than a boy.
“I kind of feel a little bit more relieved that we had a girl because I don’t know what to do with a little boy,” she admitted. “I’m a girly girl myself, so all the pink and ruffles and stuff like that, that’s my area of expertise.”
“I think despite my relationship with my mom, I think there is something special about a mother and daughter’s relationship that I am so blessed to be able to live through with her because I didn’t have that with my own mom,” she added. “It’s nice that I can just step into that role of a mother and see how it’s supposed to be.”

Blanchard, a Munchausen by proxy victim, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2016 after she pleaded guilty to murder for her role in the killing of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. She was granted parole in September 2023 and was later released from the Chillicothe Correctional Center on Dec. 28, 2023. One year later to the day, she gave birth to Aurora.
