Duke men’s basketball head coach Jon Scheyer and his wife, Marcelle Scheyer, have a love story that’s the stuff of hoop dreams.
Jon, 37, was a standout guard for the Duke Blue Devils from 2006 to 2010, before a professional basketball career took him to Israel and Spain. He eventually landed back home in Durham as an assistant coach with his alma mater in 2013.
After nearly a decade of cutting his teeth as an assistant, Jon replaced legendary Hall of Famer Mike Krzyzewski as Duke’s head coach in June 2021.
Marcelle, 37, earned her Masters of Science and Nursing degree from the Duke University School of Nursing in 2016.
Off the court, Jon and Marcelle have welcomed three kids together — daughter Noa, 7, son Jett, 5, and son James, 2.
