Mark Ronson is in the hospital after suffering an injury during a DJ set.
The musician, 49, took to Instagram on Wednesday, April 2, to share a photo of himself giving the thumbs-up while wearing a hospital gown.
“That time the house PA was so bad that I tried to one-hand turn the stage monitor towards the crowd mid-mix to give them some extra juice,” Ronson captioned his post. “Turns out they weigh more than I thought…Two popped bicep tendons and one finished gig later, here we are, baby! #tornthisway.”
Ronson’s friends and followers showed their support in the comments section.
“Feel better!!!” Rita Wilson wrote, while DJ Jazzy Jeff remarked, “Yo…That’s crazy…heal up bro,” and Josh Groban reacted with: “Yikes. Get well soon!!”
Lightening the mood, Diplo commented: “Looks like you just gave birth.”
Ronson, a Grammy-winning DJ and pop music producer, announced last month that he’s writing a memoir called Night People: How to Be a DJ in ‘90s New York City, which will be released in September.
“It chronicles three of my great loves: the art of DJing with all its emotional highs and lows, the electric energy of New York after dark, and the wild, wonderful clubland characters who became my second family,” he wrote via Instagram on March 27. “This book is my love letter to a vanished era that shaped not just my career but my identity — a time when finding my craft put me on the path to finding myself.”

In December 2024, Ronson and his wife, Grace Gummer, who is the daughter of Meryl Streep, revealed that they were expecting their second child together at Justin Theroux’s annual holiday party at Pebble Bar in NYC. (At the time, Gummer, 38, flashed her baby bump in a form-fitting red dress, while Ronson wore a blue striped button-down shirt over an arm sling.)
The New York-based pair secretly welcomed their first daughter, Ruthie, in March 2023. Ronson and Gummer had a low-key wedding on his 46th birthday in September 2021.
“To my truest love…out of nowhere, you made 45 hands down the greatest year of my life. And I’m sure it took me 45 years to become the man worthy of your love,” Ronson wrote via Instagram in September 2021 alongside photos from their nuptials. “I hope I spend every one of these birthdays by your side til my last day. And beyond. Forever and ever yours ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ (and yes, we got married).”
