Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Go Full Glam on TIME100 Red Carpet Amid Justin Baldoni Legal Battle

Blake Lively is stepping out on the TIME100 red carpet alongside husband Ryan Reynolds after being recognized as one of the magazine’s most influential people of 2025.

Lively, 37, wore a flowing, off-the-shoulder crimson gown as she walked the red carpet with Reynolds, 48, at the Thursday, April 24, event at New York City’s The Jazz at Lincoln Center. The couple, who are currently embroiled in ongoing legal drama with Lively’s It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni, looked happy in love as they playfully laughed together and cozied up for the cameras.

The actress styled her blonde hair in waves and accessorized her look with Lorraine Schwartz emerald earrings, jade rings and emerald cuffs while Reynolds suited up in a classic tuxedo for the big night out.

Blake Lively is speaking out after being named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2025. “It’s an honor to be acknowledged on the @time 100 list for 2025🤍🙏🤍 To be written about by the great @sherrilynifill is not something I take lightly,” Lively, 37, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, April 16, referencing […]

Lively’s mother Elaine, 77, also attended the event to support Blake. She stunned in a black dress and opted to style her own blonde locks in loose waves just like her famous daughter. It was quite the family affair for the mother-and-daughter duo, who happily posed with each other on the red carpet as well as with Reynolds.

After news broke that Lively made the magazine’s coveted annual list, the Gossip Girl alum gushed that it’s an “honor to be acknowledged.”

“To be written about by the great @sherrilynifill is not something I take lightly,” Lively wrote via Instagram on April 16, referring to the civil rights lawyer who wrote her blurb for the list. “Her work has shaped our nation. WHO SHE IS – as a human, woman, mother, leader, fighter, healer, empath, risk taker and dream maker – has shaped my heart and also my stamina to never stop believing in a future that’s better and safer for everyone.”

“Thank you @time And thank you @sherrilynifill for one of the most surreal and meaningful moments of my life in this honor,” Lively concluded. “My 10 year old self is pretty blown away right now.”

In a separate Instagram Story, Lively reflected on the honor. “I’m able to see this moment, almost looking back from the future, or looking ahead from childhood, and from every time period I can see how profound this is to me,” she wrote. “Not just to be included, but to have a voice. It’s a fortunate thing, when it should be a given. So thank you to @time and to each of you who uplift the many who live boldly, even when it’s scary.”

In the entry, Sherrilyn Ifill noted, “I don’t know the Blake Lively of the red carpet. Or the Met Gala. I never watched Gossip Girl. The Blake Lively I know is a philanthropist and a student of our country’s most intractable problems.”

Ifill went on to recognize Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds’ charitable work. (Lively and Reynolds, 48, who tied the knot in 2012, share four kids.)

“She and her husband Ryan Reynolds reached out in 2019 to make a contribution to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund,” she continued. “I had been getting a few of these calls, as our work fighting against voter suppression and police brutality was receiving national attention. I’m always curious about the kind of research famous people do before they make that cold call to offer their support. The ones I have remained in relationship with are those who, like Blake, really did their homework. I admired immediately her curiosity, and her sincere work to understand the conditions that shape this country.”

Lively’s mention on the list comes amid her ongoing legal battle with It Ends With Us star and director Justin Baldoni. In 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and accused him of sexual harassment and attempting to ruin her reputation. Baldoni denied all allegations.

Baldoni went on to file a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds and Leslie Sloane. Lively, Reynolds and Sloane have all filed motions to be removed. The legal battle is ongoing and set to go to trial in 2026.
