The countdown is officially on to crown a new winner of The Voice.
On Monday, May 12, NBC’s singing competition series kicked off the first live shows of the season when 12 semi finalists took to the stage and performed for America’s vote.
“America, it’s up to you now,” coach Kelsea Ballerini joked before showtime. “So I’m not the bad guy anymore.”
While Ballerini and her fellow coaches including Adam Levine, Michael Bublé and John Legend shared their honest feedback with each performance, it was up to the viewer at home to cast their vote and see who would make finale week, kicking off on Monday, May 19.

According to NBC, the season 27 finale will include performances from former The Voice coaches including Blake Shelton, Chance the Rapper and Kelly Clarkson. In addition, season 22 winner Bryce Leatherwood will return to the stage to perform one of his biggest hits.
