Ree Drummond thinks one of her daughter’s wedding photos looks familiar.
The Pioneer Woman star, 56, shared a pair of Instagram Stories on Monday, May 26, to highlight the similarity between an image of Paige, 25, who tied the knot on May 17, and a shot of Nan Drummond, the late mother of her husband Ladd.
“My mother-in-law on her wedding day,” Ree wrote over a picture of Nan smiling while wearing a long-sleeved ivory gown, her hair in a brunette bob, as she wed Ladd’s father, Chuck.
The Food Network personality then posted a snap of Paige in a sheer white dress with her blonde hair loosely gathered into an updo.
“Paige on her wedding day,” the proud mom wrote. “I don’t know if you see the resemblance, but to me it is uncanny.”
Nan died in 2018 at the age of 74, and Ree offered a touching tribute at the time, calling her mother-in-law “magnificent.”
Paige tied the knot with construction engineer David Andersen on the family’s Oklahoma ranch nine months after announcing their engagement in August 2024.
Ree has been taking fans behind-the-scenes of her daughter’s big day with updates on Instagram, including the “hip grandma updo” she sported for the event.
She also revealed that the wedding included a station where guests could have live portraits drawn by illustrator Kristyn Potter of ACA Event Designs.
In April, Ree opened up about her excitement for the ceremony in a post featuring a photo of the soon-to-be bride and groom.
“We’re getting to the stage where we’re finalizing the ceremony program, figuring out the seating chart, coordinating transportation … and pulling up Accuweather about six times a day to see how the wedding day forecast has changed. 😅😅😅,” she wrote.
Ree went on to voice several concerns about the nuptials.
“Will we have 40 mph wind gusts or a perfect still evening? Will we have hail? Will Ladd keep the cattle (and manure and flies) out of the South Big South until after the wedding? Will the basset hounds hear the commotion and crash Paige’s wedding like they did Alex’s?” she asked.
However, she concluded that she was focusing on what’s important.
“Only time will tell. So for now, I’ll just say I’m SO excited for Paige. She loves her fella and she can’t wait to marry him, and that’s all this mama really needs to know,” she ended the caption.
