Patrick Dempsey’s twin sons are all grown up — and the actor couldn’t be prouder!
Dempsey, 59, shared a rare photo of his twin sons Darby and Sullivan, who recently celebrated their 18th birthdays and graduated from high school. The actor shared a photo of himself, the twins and their mother Jillian Fink on Instagram and captioned it, “Graduation!! So proud of you boys and cannot wait to see where the next chapter of your lives will take you!”
Dempsey and Fink also share their daughter Talula. The pair separated in 2015 but called off their divorce a year later.
Jillian originally filed for divorce from the Grey’s Anatomy actor in January 2015, citing irreconcilable differences. In the documents, she requested spousal support and joint custody of their three children. Neither party took steps to further the proceedings, and the pair reconciled later that year.
“You have to work at everything. And you cannot do everything. Something has to be sacrificed,” Patrick told ES magazine in May 2016, after confirming that he and Jillian were back together.
The pair attended the London premiere of Dempsey’s movie Ferrari in December 2023. On the same day as the Ferrari premiere, Jillian posted two photos of the couple posing together on the red carpet. The caption read: “UK Premiere of @ferrarithemovie with @patrickdempsey ♥️🏎️.” It went on to include details of both her and Patrick’s looks for the evening. Jillian noted that Patrick was styled by men’s celebrity stylist Warren Alfie Baker, and that his “grooming” was done by herself.
In March, Dempsey revealed he does not plan to return to the Scream franchise.
“It just didn’t work out and we were dealing with the fires and everything that was going on and the schedule didn’t work out, unfortunately,” Dempsey told Variety in an interview published on March 2, referring to the wildfires that devastated areas surrounding Los Angeles in January.

The actor was originally set to reprise the role of detective Mark Kincaid, which he first took on in Scream 3. He ultimately declined due to scheduling conflicts as he was already filming Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon.
In October 2024, however, Dempsey told the Today show that a “conversation” about him rejoining the franchise had occurred, but he was “waiting on the script.”
