Abby Howard shared an update on her pregnancy while taking followers through her recent anatomy scan.
The influencer, who's currently expecting another baby with husband Matt Howard, took her camera along to the appointment, sharing the "good news" and "slightly not good news" they found out from the doctor. Every appointment following her recent pregnancy loss, which she opened up about in September 2025, brings a new level of fear, Howard explained in her Thursday, April 9 TikTok video.
“To be honest, these appointments bring even more fear than they did before loss,” Abby said. "But we keep going forward and try to remain positive."

As the expectant mom continued getting ready for her appointment, she discussed how far along she is in her pregnancy and how this pregnancy is different from her previous ones.
“I’m 18 and a half weeks, which is actually earlier than the other three times I’ve done this scan," she explained while applying her makeup. "We’ve just overall been treating this pregnancy differently, given the circumstances.”
"This time I've actually been going to a maternal field medicine doctor, who's going to do the appointment," Abby continued. "I think it's basically just a more thorough version of the scan that I've had previously."
Abby, who is mom to sons August, 2, and Griffin, 3, then explained how there's a "clear distinction" between this pregnancy and her ones prior to her loss.
"Moms that unfortunately find themselves in similar positions to me know there’s a clear distinction between your pregnancies pre-loss and your pregnancies post-loss," she said before getting dressed and continuing, "Please don't get me wrong there's still so much love and joy and excitement just amidst the presence of a lot more fear."

After her scan, Abby and Matt said they received “good news” and “slightly not good news" from their doctor.
“The good news is great enough that we do not care!" Abby said. "The baby looks great."
Matt then offered more explanation about the "slight downside" of their otherwise "great day."
“The only slight downside is that for the next month until our next appointment, there’s no mommy-daddy time or working out for Abby,” he said. In response, Abby explained that the doctors recommended a "form of pelvic rest," as they keep a closer eye on her placenta.
“Overall, today was a great day," Abby concluded.
