Alec Baldwin Has Stone-Faced Reaction to Wife Hilaria and Partner Gleb Savchenko’s Steamy Cha-Cha

  • “She’s a hard worker. This was her life until she got injured so she’s just going to give it everything she has. I’m proud of her, very proud of her,” he said of his wife’s return to dance

Alec Baldwin is a proud husband at the premiere of Dancing with the Stars.

Before wife Hilaria Baldwin’s first dance to “Let’s Get Loud” by Jennifer Lopez, she told partner Gleb Savchenko, “I used to be a dancer. I had to stop because I broke my hip all the way through.”

When asked how that happened, she responded, “Overuse.”

Ahead of the big show, the duo moved their rehearsals to New York City. She explained, “With one week to go, I’m taking Gleb to New York, where I live. I’m so excited to share this experience with my family.”

Alec then arrived at rehearsals to watch their dance. “She’s a hard worker,” he said in an interview. “This was her life until she got injured so she’s just going to give it everything she has. I’m proud of her, very proud of her.”

He then asked to “cut in” but instead of dancing with his wife, he and Gleb showed off their moves.

“I think they hired the wrong Baldwin,” Hilaria teased.

She and Gleb then took to the dance floor to perform the Cha Cha. Towards the end, their faces got close. When the camera panned to Alec, he was seen clapping but not smiling after the performance.

When Hilaria and Gleb arrived to speak to the judges, Derek Hough praised it as “best Cha Cha he’s ever seen from a mother of seven” and called it “so sharp” and “so precise.”

Bruno Tonioli commented that her foot placement was “delicious” and commended her for “using the dance as a conversation.” Both judges also said they’re looking forward to seeing what the pair do next.

In addition to Alec, the couple’s children were also cheering on mom in the audience.

Ahead of the show, Hilaria’s stepdaughter Ireland Baldwin shared a sweet Instagram post in support.

“I wanted to take a second to talk about my step mom @hilariabaldwin,” it began. “I think if people actually knew her the way I do, they would be quite surprised. This post may come out of left field since I don’t post about her or any family members much. I expect misinformed comments and plenty of comments about me only playing nice so I can secure my inheritance.”

“C’mon, people. I see the comments. I’m not getting an inheritance. I have 7 siblings 😂,” Ireland joked. “These thoughts have been on my mind since I last visited her on the east coast. Hilaria has had a far more complex and chaotic upbringing than she lets on and I think that’s why we’ve maybe bonded in someways? She didn’t always feel safe and seen. Sometimes, she is too loyal to a fault.”
