Ally Lewber Is Done With ‘DJs and Reality TV’ After ‘Toxic’ James Kennedy Relationship: ‘New Era’

Vanderpump Rules alum Ally Lewber is entering a “new era” following her split from James Kennedy — but she’s not stepping out of the spotlight altogether.

Lewber, 29, is officially launching a podcast titled “StarStruck,” a new original video series from OpenMind Studios, the team behind Khloé Kardashian‘s “Khloé in Wonder Land.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to launch my new video series with OpenMind and PAVE Studios,” the Bravo personality noted in a press release on Wednesday, March 26. “My love for the stars began when I was young, and now I get to bring together two of my biggest passions—astrology and meaningful conversations—with a touch of fun. StarStruck isn’t just about reading birth charts; it’s about making astrology relatable and entertaining. Whether it’s a guest on the show or someone watching at home, I want people to learn how the stars connect to their own lives in unexpected ways.”

In a video message accompanying the launch announcement, Lewber opened up about how she’s been coping post-breakup.

“Hey guys, I just wanna say first, thank you all so much for all of your support and love that you guys have shown me over the past few months. I’m sure many of you know James and I have broken up,” she began. “It was difficult, very public. I recognize now that that was a toxic relationship and I’m grateful for being on the other side of it and I’m grateful for all of your love and comments and DMs and all of the support that you guys have shown me. It’s actually been so encouraging and helpful, truly.”

Lewber emphasized that she has “a great support system” in Los Angeles, adding, “I’m grateful for my friends [and] for my mom.”

Along with settling into her new home, Lewber has been hard at work on “StarStruck,” a project she began last year. “We actually filmed our very first episode the night before Kathy Hilton‘s iconic Christmas party,” she said with a laugh.

Us Weekly confirmed in December 2024 that Kennedy, 33, was arrested for misdemeanor domestic violence after police received a call “regarding an argument between a man and a woman.” Kennedy and Lewber attended Hilton’s annual holiday party the night of his arrest.

Officers who responded to the scene did not see any visible injuries on the woman, who was not immediately identified as Lewber. She soon broke her silence on the incident via Instagram.

“Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support and for checking in on me,” she wrote in a December 2024 statement. “I’m OK and taking the time I need right now. I deeply appreciate all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time.”

One month later, Kennedy’s lawyer confirmed that the DJ would not face charges. “James is grateful to have this matter behind him and is looking forward to continuing to focus on his sobriety and his DJ career,” attorney Scott Leemon told Us in a statement.

Kennedy, for his part, has been vocal about his battle with substance abuse through the years. While announcing the pair’s split in January, Lewber revealed that their argument stemmed from Kennedy “drinking again.”

“We are not longer together, but I’ll always support James and wish him the best with his sobriety and healing. Thank you for your understanding,” she continued.

Lewber told fans in her video message on Wednesday that she’s “excited” for her next chapter. “I can focus on astrology and my passion,” she said. “No more DJs and reality TV.”

The host teased that “nothing is off-limits” with her celebrity guests, some of which will include former Bachelorette Jenn Tran, influencer Jake Shane and author Gabby Bernstein. Each week, Lewber will provide a one-on-one astrology reading to dive deeper into how the universe has impacted her guests’ love lives, careers and more.

“Ally represents the next generation of creators—authentic, multi-dimensional, and built for a multi-platform world,” Max Cutler, founder of PAVE Studios, noted in a statement. “She’s not just creating compelling video content; she’s building an experience that engages audiences across platforms. As people continue to seek content that blends entertainment with deeper connections, StarStruck is a prime example of how creators can turn their passions into dynamic, multi-format brands with potential beyond video—into live shows, merchandise, and more.”

“StarStruck” premieres April 2. Full video episodes will be available every Wednesday on YouTube, with audio episodes available on all major podcast platforms. Fans can subscribe to OpenMind+ on Apple Podcasts for ad-free listening and early access.
