Miss J Alexander is back where he belongs: on the red carpet.

America's Next Top Model's runway coach, 67, attended the opening night of Titanique on Broadway in New York City on April 12, marking his first red carpet since he shared the news of his stroke in the Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model Netflix documentary.

As usual, Alexander made quite the statement with his outfit choice, pairing a beachy button-up with wide-leg dark-wash jeans, a scarf, black beanie and giant sunglasses. He finished the look with white Converse on one foot and a medical boot on the other, refusing to let his wheelchair get in the way as he struck several poses for the camera.

"I can't walk. Not yet. Not yet. I'm determined to walk. I'm sure you're gonna see me again, I'm sure. It's not over for me yet," Alexander promised in the documentary.

Alexander shared in the Netflix documentary that he suffered a major stroke back in 2022, leaving him in the hospital for over a year.

"On December 27th of 2022, I had a stroke. I woke up. I didn't know where I was other than in the hospital," shared Alexander. "I spent five weeks in a coma, and I couldn't walk. And I couldn't talk. And I thought to myself, what was I going to do?"

Today, his ability to speak has returned, but he is still reliant on a wheelchair to get around—an extremely difficult reality for someone who used to walk the runway and teach others how to walk the runway for a living.

"I miss being the queen of the runway. The catwalks, of course. I'm the person who taught models how to walk. I taught models how to walk," Alexander said in the documentary.

Alexander, whose real name is Alexander Jenkins, stayed fairly silent on social media in the years since his stroke and shied away from public appearances. But now, with nearly three and a half years of rehabilitation under his belt, he's bringing his loud personality back into the spotlight.
