Ana de Armas is single after being recently linked to Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuba’s president Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez.
A source tells PEOPLE that de Armas, 37, is no longer dating Anido Cuesta as she focuses on preparation her first movie collaboration with Tom Cruise, the Doug Liman-directed thriller Deeper.
The Ballerina star was first seen sharing a kiss with Anido Cuesta in Madrid in November 2024. The pair were last photographed spending time together again in Spain in December 2024, and have not been seen together since.
Upcoming costars Cruise and de Armas were most recently photographed together as they lounged on a yacht near Menorca, an island off the eastern coast of Spain.
The dynamic between the From the World of John Wick: Ballerina actress and Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning actor, 63, is “not romantic,” the source adds.
When the actors were first spotted together in February, a source told PEOPLE that they were at dinner with their agents “discussing potential collaborations down the line” and noted that de Armas and Cruise “appeared to have no romantic connection, just friends.”
They were photographed together again several times over the following weeks, including as they left David Beckham’s 50th birthday party in London on May 3 and on a park walk in the U.K. capital on de Armas’ 37th birthday days earlier.
Prior to stepping out with Anido Cuesta in Spain last fall, de Armas was previously linked to Tinder executive Paul Boukadakis. She also dated her Deep Water costar Ben Affleck from March 2020 until their “completely amicable” split in January 2021, as a source told PEOPLE at that time.
As for her upcoming film with Cruise, the source says, “Tom is crazy hardworking and she’s very excited to work with him. She calls it an opportunity of a lifetime.” The movie begins filming in August, per the insider.
“Tom is an incredible mentor to Ana,” the source adds. “She has nothing but amazing things to say about him.”
Reps for both actors didn’t respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

When de Armas spoke with Variety at the June premiere of Ballerina, she called Cruise’s recent public support for the film “unbelievable” and “amazing” when asked how it felt that the Top Gun icon was rooting for her success.
“It is very special that someone like him is supporting [Ballerina],” the Knives Out actress continued in her conversation with Variety. “It is really special in general to have other actors and people supporting each other. We can do well all together.”
