Andy Cohen has lots of love for Hoda Kotb.
The Watch What Happens Live host was a guest on the Jan. 7 episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna as part of Kotb’s last week as cohost of the show, and as part of his appearance, he listed his five favorite things about his friend.
AKA, he did his “Watch What Happens ‘Five'” like he does on his own show.
The first thing on his list was Kotb’s luscious hair.
“Number 5: Best head of hair on television,” Cohen, 56, said to Kotb and her cohost Jenna Bush Hager. “Savannah [Guthrie] could never. She wishes. Savannah wishes.”
Cohen continued with his list, which made Kotb, 60, teary. For the fourth item, Cohen cited her “bravery and wherewithal” to leave her show while at the “top” of her game. He then jokingly told her to call him in a month to see if she’s still filling the same about her decision.
Item No. 3 was her skill as the “Kathie Lee [Gifford] whisperer.”
“You got this lady to just roll over time and time again in your hands,” Cohen said while Kotb burst into laughter.
The second to last item Cohen mentioned was Kotb’s “courage and strength” that she gave him to become a dad later in life, because she also became a parent at a later age. Cohen touched on a conversation the two had that meant so much to him, and he thanked her for being there for him.
And the thing that topped his list, funny enough, was Kotb’s iconic bracelets — which she actually was not wearing on the Jan. 7 episode of the show. She revealed that she went to the gym and “put them in a bag,” which is why they didn’t make an appearance on the episode. But Cohen thinks they should be in the broadcasting hall of fame.

In September, Kotb revealed that she would be leaving her position on Today after 17 years to focus on her family.
“As I write this, my heart is all over the map,” the journalist wrote in a letter to staff of the NBC morning show, shared on Sept. 26. “I know I’m making the right decision, but it’s a painful one. And you all are the reason why. They say two things can be right at the same time, and I’m feeling that so deeply right now. I love you and it’s time for me to leave the show.”
Explaining her reasoning, Kotb added in part, “My broadcast career has been beyond meaningful, a new decade of my life lies ahead, and now my daughters and my mom need and deserve a bigger slice of my time pie. I will miss you all desperately, but I’m ready and excited.”
Her last day on air is Friday, Jan. 10.
