Ariana Grande is now a strawberry-blonde babe.
Grande, 31, took to Instagram on Tuesday, April 8, to show off her hair color transformation, which she debuted in her “Brighter Days Ahead” short film with a number of songs from her Eternal Sunshine deluxe album.
In the snaps, fans got a much closer look at her freshly dyed tresses, which were no longer her Glinda-fied blonde strands but a golden hue. Her eyebrows were also dyed the darker strands, much darker than her nearly bleach blonde strands.
For the short film, Grande wore her copper strands parted to the side and in a slicked-back ponytail that cascaded to her waist. She let her side bangs gently cascade over her forehead as she donned a full beat, including extra-long lashes, black winged eyeliner, a contoured button nose and lined pink lips.
Grande previously wore blonde locks while she played Glinda in Wicked. To fully embody her character, she even bleached her brows, which were previously dyed brown, along with her hair.
During the Wicked press tour, Grande opened up about the makeup that she was wearing to play the Good Witch, which she called “a more honest representation of what [she looks] like.”
“There’s no thick eyeliner, there’s no heavy crease, it’s just really warm and open and pretty,” she said, noting her signature glam used to feature a thick winged eyeliner, cut crease and bold lashes.
She also shared that while she dyed her mane blonde for the character, she was still sporting wigs, and she praised the hair department for plucking the hairline to the “perfect shape.”
