A regional transport bus caught fire, killing at least six people in Kerzers, Switzerland, on Tuesday, March 10.
The fire occurred around 6:25 p.m. local time, 12 miles east of Switzerland’s capital, Bern, the BBC reported. The bus was operated by Switzerland's national postal service, PostBus.
The bus was engulfed in flames, with smoke billowing into the air as emergency services arrived. Once there, the firefighters “carried out rescue and extinguishing operations” and set up a “security perimeter,” the police statement said, according to The Guardian.

Five people were injured, and at least three people were transported to the hospital, according to France 24.
Authorities believe that the bus was ablaze in a “man-made incident, and even a deliberate act,” local police spokesperson Frederic Papaux said, The Guardian reported. Police are investigating the incident.
