Authorities have shared new video of the suspected gunman who murdered Charlie Kirk Wednesday fleeing from the roof of a 1-story building at Utah Valley University.
Check out the footage — the gunman, who Utah Governor Spencer Cox described as an “evil human being,” sprints across the roof before leaping down onto the grass. He then casually walks off and crosses the street, eventually moving to a wooded area where his high-powered rifle was later recovered by investigators.
Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason also revealed an enhanced version of an image released earlier in the day, making sure to note the shooter’s all-black outfit and shirt that features an American flag and an Eagle, plus his hat with a triangle on it.
Once the new evidence was shared, Cox took back over the stand and gave the public a further update … including confirming the death penalty will be pursued when the suspect is apprehended by police.

He revealed authorities have received 7,000 tips and conducted 200 interviews, adding more “digital media tips” have come in following the senseless shooting at any point since the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013.
Cox addressed the disinformation surrounding the case as well, warning viewers that bots from Russia and China are “trying to distill disinformation and encourage violence.”
He encouraged people to follow Charlie’s words and spend more time with family when times seem tough.
As you know … the conservative activist was shot and killed Wednesday during his “The American Comeback Tour” stop at UVU.
He left behind his wife, Erika, and 2 young children.
