Daisy Kent is revealing that her boyfriend, Thor Herbst, had a few surprises when they moved in together earlier this year.

While attending the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Friday, Sept. 19, The Bachelor alum, 27, spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about her relationship with Herbst. Despite having previously been college sweethearts before rekindling their romance in spring 2024, she said Herbst didn’t learn some “nasty” things about her until they moved in together in Las Vegas.

“Honestly, I’m probably the one who has more nasty habits,” Kent jokes to PEOPLE. “I’m messy, but I’m clean. Do you know what I mean?”

Gushing about Herbst, she continues, “I think he’s just somebody, he’s so kind and caring towards everyone, and there’s not anything that he wouldn’t do for other people.”

Kent, captured the hearts of Bachelor Nation on Season 28 when she opened up about living with Ménière’s Disease, which causes dizzy spells known as vertigo, and hearing loss.

“I think during that time of my life, I was definitely really going through it, and I was learning with my cochlear implant, and so I knew that it was something that I had to talk about because I was going through it,” she recalls to PEOPLE.

“When I decided to get a cochlear implant, I knew how different it made me feel,” she says. “So, I thought I can be that light for someone else and make it more available for people to see and not feel so alone. So that was the main reason why I talked about it.”

“It was scary because you never know with reality TV how people are going to perceive you or perceive you talking about things,” the children’s book author adds. “So I was really grateful for how it came across and how people resonated with my story.”

The ABC franchise has recently been in the news after casting The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul as the next Bachelorette — marking the first time the show’s lead star didn’t compete in a previous season of The Bachelor.

Longtime fans of the show were shocked at the announcement, but Kent is all for it.

“I’m really excited. I feel like it’s going to bring something new to the franchise, and I mean, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is doing so insanely well,” she says.

“How could they not bring one of them to do it?” Kent adds. “I think it’ll be great for her. I’m excited to watch.”
