Bachelor Nation alum Caelynn Bell (née Miller-Keyes) is offering more details on the possibility of expanding her family with husband Dean Bell (formerly Unglert).
“We’ve been trying for not quite a year, but we’re coming up on that cusp,” Caelynn, 29, shared during a Friday, April 25, episode of the “Almost Famous” podcast. “It’s harder than I anticipated.”
Caelynn explained that because her mom “got pregnant super easily,” she assumed the same would happen for her.
“She, like, first try every single time, every single kid. So, I anticipated that,” Caelynn admitted. “But I’m still not pregnant, and I’m not putting too much pressure on myself.”
Caelynn and Dean, 34, got married in 2023 — changing their names to his late mother’s maiden name. They met during an appearance on Bachelor in Paradise season 6 in 2019, and have been together ever since. In the years following their wedding, Caelynn has been candid about the struggles she’s faced trying to start a family with Dean.
“Dean and I were just talking about this. Two of our best friends are getting married next year in Ireland,” she continued during Friday’s podcast episode. “If I get pregnant right now, we won’t be able to go. But Dean’s like, ‘There’s always an excuse to put it off,’ You know? So, we’re going to keep trying. If we get pregnant, that’s awesome.”
Caelynn emphasized that she and Dean are “not putting pressure on it yet” and keeping the mindset that “it’ll happen when it happens.”
“We’re going to keep taking it easy,” she added.

Caelynn revealed in January that she had a “vision board” for 2025, which included hopes for a baby.
“We are trying to start a family. It’s on the vision board, which might be weird,” she said in a YouTube video at the time. “I don’t know if that’s considered a goal because we are actively trying. It’s just harder to make a baby than I thought it would be.”
Friday’s podcast appearance wasn’t the first time Caelynn spoke out about her and Dean’s journey to pregnancy. She uploaded a separate YouTube video earlier this year detailing their fertility journey. (Caelynn said that she wants two kids “max” with her husband — despite both of them coming from larger families.)
“I am going to get some testing done [and] same with Dean and figure out what’s going on,” she said in a March vlog, revealing that it’s been “hard” trying to get pregnant. “Hopefully, [it’s] nothing.”
