  • Back to the Future actor Crispin Glover is being sued by an ex-girlfriend, referred to as Jane Doe, who has accused him of battery, fraud, and wrongful eviction, among other claims
  • She accused Glover of monitoring her movements and using her “for sex and free labor”
  • He denies the “baseless allegations,” saying he was “the victim of an unprovoked felony assault” committed by his accuser

Back to the Future actor Crispin Glover has been accused of battery and assault by a former girlfriend, according to a complaint obtained by PEOPLE.

Glover, 61, is accused of battery, fraud, wrongful eviction, malicious prosecution, and intentional infliction of emotional distress in the complaint, along with violations of California's civil rights law, the Bane Act.

The allegations stem from what the filing describes as a "disturbing series of incidents in which Jane Doe was essentially held captive and used for sex and free labor by Mr. Glover under false pretenses."

Glover’s representation denied the “baseless allegations” in a statement to TMZ.

In the filing, Jane Doe, described as a model from the United Kingdom, alleges that she met Glover on social media in 2015, and that the actor would make “strange advances” and message her, telling her to move to Los Angeles.

She claims that she first met the actor in person eight years later in Dresden, Germany, where she alleges that he “showed off several items of Nazi memorabilia from his collection.”

Doe alleges that she was "groomed" by Glover, and that the actor made “promises of a new life where she could start over and have a career in the entertainment industry through some sort of business relationship with him.”

Doe further alleges that Glover promised her a home and a job if she moved from the U.K. to work as his assistant in Los Angeles in 2024, per the complaint.

Upon arrival in L.A., Doe claims that she "found herself in a disturbing situation where Mr. Glover wanted to control her actions and track her whereabouts and basically serve him as a live in girlfriend/sex slave.”

She “relied entirely on Mr. Glover’s promises for money and shelter," the filing claims.

Then, in early March, she claims that she told him she was leaving the home to go to a mosque, and that Glover locked her out of the home after she left.

Doe says in the filing that she didn't "believe" that Glover would lock her out, but upon her return, she "discovered that she was locked out and that Mr. Glover wanted her to find a new place to live.”

The complaint alleges that Glover evicted Jane Doe from his home "without notice or warning of any kind, rendering her homeless.”

Doe also alleges that she was assaulted by Glover when she tried to re-enter the home in order to retrieve her belongings and pet cats. She claims that he “attacked her, grabbing her neck and choking her in a headlock, leaving a visible wound and scar on her neck.”

Additionally, the complaint accuses Glover of filing a "false police report" against Doe, in which he alleged that she was an "unlawful intruder" in the home. She claims that the Glover filed a restraining order against her, and that news of the restraining order went "viral," causing "permanent damage" to her career and reputation.

She claims that even after the filing of the restraining order, Glover continued to contact and “harass” her in an attempt to renew their sexual relationship.

In the complaint, Jane Doe demands a jury trial to determine special and general damages, as well as costs for the suit, the attorneys’ fees and other and further relief per the court's discretion.

Glover’s representation said, “The reality is that on March 2, 2024, Mr. Glover was the victim of an unprovoked felony assault by Jane Doe at his Los Angeles residence. Mr. Glover called LAPD, which came to the scene, investigated, and arrested Jane Doe."

"These facts are documented by law enforcement records and by the restraining order filed by Mr. Glover against Jane Doe at that time."

Jane Doe’s complaint alleges that his filing of a restraining order was “malicious” and “fraudulent,” and “was swiftly dismissed for failure to prosecute.”

"Mr. Glover intends to vigorously defend himself and pursue all available relief,” Glover’s rep’s statement read, before concluding, “He is confident the judicial process will expose this lawsuit as a meritless fabrication."
