Demna, ever the master of the mic drop, has delivered one last, bound-to-break-the-internet moment at the house of Balenciaga, and this time, he called on none other than pop princess Britney Spears.
Before the departing creative director begins his new role as artistic director at Gucci in July, Denma unleashed a limited-edition lineup inspired by his latest muse, music and merch-fashion fascination.
The Balenciaga Music | Britney Spears series dropped on Tuesday, June 3. The 12-piece collection includes ready-to-wear, accessories and silk twill flags, all given a lived-in finish to evoke that vintage album feel.
There are fleece zip-up hoodies featuring Spears’ autograph print on the front and her album artwork splashed across the back. Concert-coded tees and muscle tanks are emblazoned with two different archival images of the star lensed by renowned photographers Rankin and Steven Klein.

And because no Britney moment would be complete without a little sparkle, there are even baseball caps with pierced brims and studded details. (We’re partial to the hat rendered in “dirty white and pink.”)
“I have always loved fashion and was so honored and excited Balenciaga and Demna chose to collaborate with me on Demna’s last collection with the House,” Spears, 45, said in a press release.
“I hope my fans love it as much as I do!” she continued. “These are some of my favorite images from such an amazing time in my career and life, and I’m so excited to share it with everyone.”
The clothes are best paired with an exclusive playlist curated by Spears herself, featuring songs from her personal archive as well as those of other artists who have inspired her, like dance-floor classics from Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson.
Aptly titled Britney4Ever, the EP also includes two remixes of Spears’ most iconic tracks from Balenciaga’s Summer 2025 runway — “Gimme More” and “Oops.. I Did It Again!” — reworked by French composer (and Denman’s partner), BFRND.

Denma is serving up more than music and merch. The collaboration comes alongside his Spring 2026 collection, which serves as the visionary designer’s sartorial swan song. Entitled “Exactitudes,” it’s a culmination of his decade-long creative journey at Balenciaga.
“This collection embodies the multitude of design codes that have been part of my creative vision and research on fashion at Balenciaga for a decade,” Demna shared in a statement.
“It combines pieces from 35 different collections with new pieces and garments from my personal wardrobe, representing the volumes, silhouettes and attitudes that have defined my vision and my questioning of the contemporary wardrobe,” he said, adding it’s all about “what people actually wear, how they wear it and what the fine line is between luxury and fashion.”
“Working on this collection felt like a homecoming after all these years, a very formidable experience of love for fashion and dressmaking. It is the end of a wonderful era that I wanted to capture and celebrate by creating the Balenciaga ‘archetypes’— the people, the silhouettes, the vibes and the ideas that have all been fundamental in my work for this amazing house,” he said.
To paraphrase the one and only Britney Spears: “It’s Balenciaga, bitch.”
