Big Brother UK is making sure fans of the series know what happened in the moments before Mickey Rourke left the show… kind of.
On Sunday, April 13, the show teased a “heated” exchange that occurred before Rourke’s abrupt departure in a video shared on X. In the sneak peek, the group discovers the nature of the week’s shopping task before the clip cuts to JoJo Siwa, who was named captain, commenting, “Ladies, I feel like it’s gonna be a good day.”
The next scene showed cast members as they are told they must reveal “raw and honest truths about their fellow shipmates.” In another scene, Siwa is seen telling Rourke he is “not the captain of this ship” as the actor attempts to approach fellow cast member Chris Hughes. “Don’t eyeball me,” Rourke responds. “Don’t f–king eyeball me, c–t.”
The popular reality series announced Rourke’s departure from the reality series on Saturday, April 12.
“Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour,” a Celebrity Big Brother spokesperson told Us Weekly.

Bella Thorne called working with Mickey Rourke on their 2020 film, Girl, one of her “worst” experiences as an actress. Thorne, 27, leveled a series of accusations against Rourke, 72, via Instagram on Friday, April 11, as Rourke remains embroiled in controversy due to his recent actions on Celebrity Big Brother U.K. “This f***ing dude. The exchange was the latest in a series of displays of poor behavior on the part of Rourke. Earlier in the week, he received a warning from production after he violated the series’ “rules regarding unacceptable language.” Rourke told Siwa that if he stayed in the home “longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore.”
“I can guarantee I’ll still be gay,” Siwa, 21, fired back, “And I’ll still be in a very happy relationship.”
Siwa later overheard Rourke telling Hughes that he was “going to vote the lesbian out real quick,” prompting the Dance Moms alum to respond, “That’s homophobic, if that was your reasoning.”
Rourke later apologized to Siwa. “I’ve got a habit of having a short fuse. And I don’t mean nothing by it. I do mean it [sorry]. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t say it to you,” he said.
In response to the exchange, the actor’s rep Kimberly Hines told Us Weekly that Rourke “speaks from his heart and means well. He is old school, direct and honest. I have worked closely with him for nine years and he is 100 percent authentically himself. There will never be another Mickey Rourke. Period.”
Siwa’s mother, Jessalyn, said on Instagram that she wished she had not encouraged her daughter to go on the show in the first place after she witnessed her daughter’s exchange with Rourke.

“I’m really sad, though, that I sent my kid — and she is my kid [because] I am her mom and she is my kid — to a foreign country to do a TV show and she got treated like that right away, right out of the gate,” Jessalyn wrote on Friday, April 11.
