According to an insider source, Bill Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson had an extremely tense run-in with his ex Linda Holliday at a Nantucket party last December, and Hudson’s night ended when she was asked to leave the event.
The recent Miss Maine USA contestant, 24, and Holliday — who dated Belichick, 73, for 16 years — reportedly encountered each other on Dec. 6 at the local Dreamland Stroll Party, which was DJed by Holliday’s daughters, Ashley and Kat Hess. A source tells PEOPLE that Hudson and Holliday engaged in a “verbal incident” waged with harsh words.
“It was very uncomfortable. There was a lot being exchanged between them. It was very aggressive behavior,” says the insider. They add that while Hudson didn’t instigate any interactions with Holliday’s circle, the former cheerleader fielded comments throughout the evening.
“Jordon never approached anyone, but she was approached the entire night, with people asking, ‘Oh, why are you here?’ Like high school, mean girl things,” the source tells PEOPLE. “It’s Christmastime, people are supposed to get along. It’s supposed to be good spirits, and it just did not have to go down the way it did.”
Belichick, for his part, was absent from the event, though the couple otherwise “had a really nice weekend with good friends and were having a great time.”
Eventually, Hudson — who started dating the former NFL coach in early 2023 — made her exit from the festivities, but not of her own volition. “Jordan was asked to leave by a group of people, but ultimately I think it was Linda who asked for her to leave,” the source notes.
“New England is a very small place. Massachusetts is a very small place. Sometimes you’re going to see the same people in that big circle. It was a horrible coincidence,” says the insider. “Whatever situation or history they might have between the two of them, that’s between them. Again, not the right place to do that. But it was a very, very uncomfortable night.”
Both Hudson and Holliday did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.
PEOPLE reported the breakup between Belichick and Holliday in September 2023, when a source confirmed that the couple had “been pretty separate for a while.” In December 2024 — shortly after the Christmas Stroll incident reportedly occurred — a source told PEOPLE that Holliday had moved on from their relationship, and she was “continuing to lead a happy life.”
The source also said that Holliday uses both her Florida home and “at least one place from Bill in Nantucket.” The insider added, “She likes it there,” in regards to Holliday’s opinion of Nantucket.
