Blake Moynes is not closing his chapter with reality TV.
“There’s been a couple of instances that almost transpired, one being last year, Bachelor almost became a thing, being the lead, but went in a different direction,” Moynes, 34, claimed on the Thursday, April 10, episode of Jax Taylor’s “In the Mind of a Man” podcast. “There was another opportunity with a Netflix show that just wasn’t for me and I just couldn’t do. There’s also a Bravo network show that eventually happened, so we’ll see what happens there.”
Moynes told Taylor that he wouldn’t say that he’s ‘done” quite yet with the small screen: “I’m just picking and choosing what’s actually appropriate for me, considering everything I had going on.”
Moynes shared that he’s “all over the world” traveling, which makes it difficult to align with certain opportunities. “Sometimes timelines don’t necessarily link up, and sometimes it’s not worth it to go and do, you know?” he said.

The most recent Bachelor to lead the franchise was Grant Ellis, who ended his season 29 engaged to Juliana Pasquarosa.
Bachelor Nation met Moynes when he vied for the affections of Clare Crawley on season 16 of The Bachelorette in 2020. When Crawley left the show early after getting engaged to Dale Moss, Moynes went on to pursue a relationship with Tayshia Adams. While he did not find The One in Adams, Moynes returned for Katie Thurston’s season 17 of The Bachelorette. The pair ended the show engaged before splitting in 2021. He has since appeared on Bachelor in Paradise but left the show single.
Despite calling it quits Moynes shared on Thursday that he has remained in contact with Thurston, 34.
“It took a little while [but] she ended up showing up on [Bachelor in] Paradise when I was there [in 2023],” he explained. “I had not talked to her since we ended the engagement. So two years later we hashed it out. … We’ve been in touch here and there since.”

Moynes went on to address Thurston’s breast cancer battle, which she publicly revealed in February.
“Anything that she’s been talking about, I’ve been following along with her,” Moynes said. “She did a podcast recently and I’m always just listening in on her. I’m not going to be on the phone with her obviously — as the ex — but I did reach out to her and left her a long video message giving her all the support.”
Moynes continued: “I will say it’s a scary thing. But I know her and she’s a fiery girl. I’m very optimistic in how she handles this. As I see, it’s a small hurdle for her. She’s going about it in a very cool way, doing it publicly and showing [everyone the treatment process].”
