Brandi Glanville Felt Like She Was Alive Again Making ‘Remedy’ Music Video: ‘I’ve Been Missing Out’ (Exclusive)

Brandi Glanville found happiness releasing her debut single, “Remedy,” amid her ongoing health issues.

“I was so nervous [and] I had the time of my life,” Glanville, 52, exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, April 15. “I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m alive again. This is what I’ve been missing out on in life.’ Like, literally, I’m in Groundhog Day, so to do that was so fun.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum further opened up to Us about filming the music video for “Remedy.”

“We were just joking nonstop all day long on the set,” she gushed. “It was just the best shoot day, and then I got to drive this classic car because the Aussies were scared. And I’m like, ‘I’ll drive it.’ … I love classic cars.”

Despite Glanville finding joy and some much-needed reprieve during the filming process, she was still dealing with a mysterious medical condition that has caused facial disfigurement and led her to start CellSound treatment. She admitted to Us that she nearly turned the opportunity down.

“Honestly, when I got the offer, I was saying no, and my friend who’s also a manager and in the video, he’s like, ‘If you don’t wanna do it for yourself, do it for me.’ But ultimately, he knew it was gonna be for me because I needed to get out of my house.”

Glanville, who had been isolating while dealing with a mysterious medical condition that has caused facial disfigurement and led her to start Cellsound treatment, first offered to write the lyrics to “Remedy.”

“When I was asked, I’m like, ‘I’ll write it for you guys if you want,’ because I write a ton of stuff and they’re like, ‘Oh, you always have the best raps and rhymes,’” Glanville said. “I always write little poems. They’re poems I love. I actually have a book of them that I used to write to Eddie [Cibrian, my ex-husband]. They’re not nice, but I just found [them] because I was cleaning out my house.”

Glanville quickly agreed to write the rap section for the song without imagining that she’d be performing it, too.

“It was supposed to be, like, I was the low voice and the high voice. I had to do it all,” Glanville said. “I wrote it, and I got the music for it, like, I did all of that myself. And so, I said, ‘That was a joke.’ It was done with jest.”

After performing the rhymes in the vocal studio, Glanville started to gain confidence in herself and her performing abilities.

“I got to do it twice. And then [my producer], he’s like, ‘Do you wanna be in the video?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know. It depends on my face,’” Glanville said. “And then he’s like, ‘Don’t worry. We have the best thing …  Like, everything’s digitized and retouched.”

Glanville is now particularly glad that she participated in the video.

“I mean, thank the digital Gods!” she exclaimed on Tuesday.

Glanville also hopes that Cibrian’s wife, musician LeAnn Rimes, approves of her musical debut.

“I always tell LeAnn [that she is] the best singer I’ve ever heard, but you really need me to write for you,” Glanville quipped. “There wasn’t really a response. I’m seeing her today for [my son’s] birthday lunch, and I’m really excited to share my video and see what everyone thinks.”
