The White Lotus answered most of our season 3 questions in the finale — but not all.
On the Sunday, April 6, episode, Rick (Walton Goggins) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) were revealed to be the guests who didn’t make it out alive. After crossing paths with Sritala (Lek Patravadi)’s husband again, Rick couldn’t stop himself from getting revenge — only to find out that Jim (Scott Glenn) was his real dad.
Despite tying up most of the loose ends, there are still some story lines — including details of The Ratliffs’ history and Mook’s potential role in the robberies — that were never addressed again. It seems like creator Mike White has some explaining to do, but so far, he’s focused on what’s next.
White, for his part, offered a glimpse at what is to come next in a featurette that played after the finale, in which he said, “I want to get a little out of the crashing waves against rocks vernacular. But there’s also room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels.”

What Was Up With Kate and Victoria’s History?
Remember Kate (Leslie Bibb) and Victoria’s (Parker Posey) awkward conversation at the beginning of the trip? What was up with that? While some viewers noted that the interaction just served as a way of showing Kate’s overly friendly personality in comparison to Victoria always being very suspicious of outsiders, there has to be more to it than that for others.
A lot of fans were convinced that Kate was communicating about Timothy (Jason Isaacs) being at the resort as his business crumbled since she was one of the only guests seen on her phone several times.
How Real Was the Digital Detox?
Speaking of phones, The Ratliffs had a hard time letting go of their electronics but did they not notice that everyone else still had theirs? From Chelsea to Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan), Laurie (Carrie Coon) and Kate, there didn’t seem to be the same rules that applied to the others.
Was it just that everyone else refused to give their phones up? Or did The White Lotus employee know that the Ratliffs were the ones that needed a break the most?
Did Mook Know About the Robberies?
In a blink-and-you-miss-it moment, Mook (Lalisa Manobal) appeared to let her guard down when Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong) wasn’t looking, which made many suspicious of her motives and how much she actually knew about what was going on at The White Lotus.
Gaitok never sold out Valentin (Arnas Fedaravicius) and his friends for being involved in the robbery thanks to his promotion but should he actually be looking at Mook? Does she know more than she’s letting on? Looks like Gaitok won’t know until there’s another robbery at The White Lotus.

From the looks of it, the Ratliff credit cards could have still been working when Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) was picking out some jewelry for herself so why not use the money they still had to start over somewhere else — preferably with different extradition laws.
And why didn’t see the family’s full reaction to finding out they were poor? The White Lotus may have been robbed during the season but fans were robbed from seeing what we can assume would be Posey’s iconic meltdown to finding out she has no money.
Will We See Greg Again?
Some fans were convinced that Greg would be the one who ended up dead as a way to get justice for Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge). Could Jon Gries pop up in season 4 — or are we to believe he is actually going to let Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) live happily ever after?
How Has The White Lotus Not Gotten Sued Yet?
First it was Armond (Murray Bartlett) at the White Lotus in Hawaii then Tanya in Italy and now Jim, Rick and Chelsea at the Thailand location. Is it just Us or should there be an investigation into these resorts?
