Breaking Down Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover’s Split: What the Bravo Stars Have Said

For three years, Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover captivated Bravo fans with their romantic relationship — and now, everything they say about their split has become just as enticing.

The Summer House star, 32, announced in December 2024 that she and Conover, 36, had parted ways after sparking a romance in 2021. DeSorbo later revealed that she broke up with the Southern Charm star in November 2024 over Thanksgiving weekend.

In the months that followed, DeSorbo and Conover have shared their side of the breakup — and they aren’t always in sync.

Conover claimed in January that he was “shocked” by the end of his relationship. DeSorbo, meanwhile, faced cheating allegations, which she has denied.

Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover went from friends to lovers to exes. The Southern Charm star and the Summer House personality crossed paths while starring on their respective Bravo shows. “I met Craig, actually, three years ago and he was single. I had a boyfriend, and I absolutely respected that I was in a relationship,” […]

In the wake of all the drama, DeSorbo revealed that she is temporarily over dating and men in general.

“What am I looking for in a guy?” DeSorbo asked while reading a question during a February episode of her “Giggly Squad” podcast. “For them to go away, is what I’m looking for. For them to turn around and not talk to me, is probably the No. 1 thing on my list. So this Valentine’s Day, it’s all about me.”

Us Weekly confirmed in January that Conover was on the celebrity-approved dating app Raya, which Conover said he joined in an attempt to get “validation.” He told Andy Cohen in February, “It didn’t feel as good as I thought.”

Paige DeSorbo raised eyebrows after seemingly trolling her ex-boyfriend Craig Conover with a simple social media click. Eagle-eyed fans noticed on Monday, February 3, that DeSorbo, 32, “liked” a seemingly shady post about relationships one month after going public with her and Conover’s break up. “I’m so bummed to be single. How will I ever […]

Scroll down to see what DeSorbo and Conover have said about their breakup since calling it quits:

The Initial Announcement

“Craig and I have decided to no longer be together,” DeSorbo told her “Giggly Squad” listeners on December 30, 2024. “I love him, I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends. No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing. I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future.”

The fashion correspondent noted that her 30s had become a “transformative” time for her, adding that she’s changed “a lot” in recent years. Those changes, however, didn’t influence how much love and respect she has for her ex.

“I think he is one of the best people I’ve met in my entire life. I will remain the biggest fan for him and want the best for him, and he truly will get the best, because he is the best,” DeSorbo said. “But, with that said, I think it is the right decision for both of us.”

Bravo Doesn’t Pull the Strings

During the same December 2024 podcast, DeSorbo shut down rumors that Bravo somehow influenced when she and Conover publicly announced their separation.

“It’s a very sad thing. And just to say this — not that I even have to — but in terms of people saying, ‘Oh, Paige was told to wait until Southern Charm came out or Summer House came out.’ No one can tell me what to do,” she quipped. “The network has power, but they don’t have that much power.”

DeSorbo said Bravo pulling the strings over her announcement “is not a real thing.”  She added, “Rumors of us breaking up months ago was also not a real thing.”

Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover were open about their long-distance relationship prior to their December 2024 split. “We spend as much time as we can together and we’re patient with each other,” Conover told Us Weekly exclusively at the October 2024 Hayu FanFest in London. “We’re in a great place and, fortunately, New York and […]

Craig Breaks His Silence

“I figured it’s finally time to check in with everyone. Sorry about the delay, this has all been very, very unexpected to say the least. But I guess I gotta start living again, whatever that looks like. Whatever my new normal looks like — I have to start,” Conover said via his Instagram Story on January 7. “‘Gratitude will get you through this, with time comes clarity’ – all of the advice, I’m trying to listen to.”

The Sewing Down South founder told his followers the split happened “right before the holidays” and that he was “very shocked” by it.

“It takes two people to be in a relationship and you can’t control other people, you can only control how you react to it,” he continued, asking fans to “remember to be kind to Paige and me and yourselves and all of that good stuff.”

Conover explained that he was “still processing everything,” noting, “[It’s] a 3-year relationship, it’s your best friend who you talk to all day every day, and then they’re just gone. So, you know, one day I’ll be able to talk more on it.”

He thanked everyone for their support and confessed he had to “practice what I preach” and remind himself that “no one is ever not better off after a breakup.”

Breakup Season Is Very Real

“It’s breakup season,” DeSorbo declared during the January 21 episode of her and Hannah Berner’s “Giggly Squad” podcast, pointing to Jessica Alba and Cash Warren’s recent split as well as Kaia Gerber and Austin Butler’s breakup.

DeSorbo teased, “Something’s in the air and women are like, ‘Hey, you know what? No.’”

Berner joked that women have decided that this winter they “just want to watch murder mysteries documentaries and fart on my own” and that cuddling is “overrated.”

DeSorbo agreed with Berner’s comments and hinted that single life has been treating her well. “I want to be wrapped in my sweatpants in a fur blanket with my fuzzy socks. And if you’re also under my same blanket, I’m going to get hot. And I don’t want to get hot,” she stated. “You know, like I have the perfect temperature right now. Get your fricking sweaty balls away from me.”

Paige Denies Cheating on Craig

After rumors surfaced that DeSorbo was seeing comedian Marcello Hernandez and later a mystery man from a Philadelphia Eagles game, DeSorbo had enough. “Let me say this here and now: I did not move on with some new guy,” she said on the February 3 “Giggly Squad” podcast episode. “I’m single. I don’t have a new boyfriend. I did not cheat — not on my ex-boyfriend.”

DeSorbo made it clear that she “never physically cheated on him” or “emotionally cheated” on Conover.

She Clarifies the Breakup Timeline

During the February 3 episode of her podcast, DeSorbo broke down exactly when she and Conover parted ways — and why she announced the split the following month.

“I didn’t want to do a back-and-forth,” DeSorbo said, before seemingly throwing subtle shade at Conover for not having her back. “But since no one’s sticking up for me on the other side … perpetuating even more rumors, I will say that Craig and I broke up Thanksgiving weekend. OK? That’s at the end of November.”

According to the reality star, Conover then “did press for Southern Charm, did whatever he needed to do, acting as if we were still together, and that was fine: I said that he could do that [if] he was processing [the split] in his own way.”

Once Christmas came and went, DeSorbo said she “saw that my ex-boyfriend was on a trip presenting himself as single.” At that moment, she recalled thinking, “Oh, here we go. We’re ready to announce.”

“I then texted [him] whilst he was on this trip and said I’m going to say something on ‘Giggly Squad’ and we can both start moving forward,” she claimed. “It’s been a full month now. My text went unanswered. … Once he goes on a trip and [is] being single, I said, ‘OK, well I can’t deceive the public any longer.’”

Craig Weighs in on Paige Cheating Rumors

“I don’t want to be involved,” Conover said when asked about whether he “cosigned” DeSorbo’s cheating denial on the February 6 episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I got broken up with. I’m the ex-boyfriend, moving on with my life. I’m not going to get sucked into the mud with them.”

Conover noted that DeSorbo’s Summer House castmates “commenting on how I am grieving and that I’m sorry that I’m not reading Reddit every day, getting on there and defending her” isn’t fair. “Like, I never said you cheated, so I’m not a part of this,” he explained.

Craig Claims It Wasn’t a ‘Mutual’ Split

During Conover’s first interview since the breakup, he shared his side of things. “I didn’t tell her what to say [about their breakup on her podcast]. I got a text and she said, ‘I’m announcing it on my podcast,’” he recalled during his February WWHL appearance. “And then she said it was mutual, which it wasn’t, I didn’t know about it, she called me and told me.”

Conover revealed, “It’s been a whirlwind, but I’ve been sitting in it, listening to people be like, ‘Love isn’t enough.’ Guess what? Love is enough and I hate that I’m being drawn into that. If two people love each other, you’ll make it work.”

He added, “For all the long-distance people watching … like, we didn’t want different things, she just wanted other people and that’s fine. She didn’t want those things with me anymore and I’m not mad at her for that but I don’t like this ‘love isn’t enough’ thing because you’ll make it work.”

Marriage Was on Both of Their Minds

Over the years, Conover has made it clear that he wanted to marry and start a family with DeSorbo when she was ready. During season 10 of Southern Charm, which is currently airing, Conover claimed he bought an engagement ring and DeSorbo was complexly aware.

During the February 6 episode of WWHL, Conover alleged that weeks before DeSorbo ended their relationship they were talking about their future.

“Two weeks prior, she asked me to plan us a trip to Europe for New Year’s. She also talked about our wedding in her mom’s kitchen,” Conover claimed. “She made me promise we would never break up, weekly.”

The “Pillows & Beer” podcast cohost alleged that after having Thanksgiving with DeSorbo’s family they were totally together. “Then I went to Toronto for an event, and she called me,” he recalled, telling Cohen, “We’ve been together for three years, and you know a lot of stuff that we’re not going to talk about tonight — plans that we had.”

Conover denied that he “asked” DeSorbo to pretend they were still dating while he did his Southern Charm press tour. “We FaceTimed and I didn’t think it was real,” he confessed.
