Women have mixed opinions about a wedding tip going viral on social media.
Australian bride Alyssa Jane took to TikTok on Feb. 20 to share a “hot wedding planning tip for your wedding date.” Her video quickly amassed more than 600,000 views, but not everyone agrees that brides should follow her advice.
The TikToker’s wedding tip is simple: “Plan your wedding date when you’re ovulating.”
Jane claims that the physical benefits of ovulation can improve a bride’s wedding day — and night. In her experience, she cited clearer skin, larger breast size, and higher sex drive.
“Obviously my skin is not fantastic, but compared to what it is when I’m on my period, it’s gloriously shiny,” she said. “You know what else is good? My boobs. My boobs get bigger when I’m ovulating. You know what else is good? My sex drive. My sex drive increases when I’m ovulating — great for the night of the wedding. You also don’t have a period.”

In the comments section, fellow brides weighed in on whether or not they thought the advice was actually good.
“GENIUS,” one woman said.
Another TikTok user commented that she also has “more energy” when she’s ovulating. In contrast, a different woman dreads ovulating because it makes her “cranky.”
Most commenters warned brides that women are most fertile during ovulation, increasing the chance of getting pregnant during the honeymoon.
“If you want to get pregnant yeah 😭 this is like my worst nightmare that I end up ovulating or on my period,” a woman commented.
“I planned it around ovulation and got pregnant on my wedding night 🤣,” another TikToker wrote, with someone else adding, “I got pregnant with twins on my honeymoon 🫢👀👀.”
