Britt Stewart Explains Why This Reality TV Star Is Her Dream ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Partner

Britt Stewart is opening up about her dream Dancing with the Stars dancing partner.

“Actually, my dream partner for this season would be Dylan Efron,” Stewart, 35, exclusively revealed to Us Weekly while attending Hulu’s inaugural Get Real event on Tuesday, April 22. “After Traitors, he’s just, I mean, I wouldn’t say I fell in love because I am planning to wed this summer [to former DWTS partner Daniel Durant]. I am already very much in love.”

Stewart’s fellow Dancing With The Stars pro Daniella Karagach initially mentioned Dylan’s brother Zac Efron was her own dream casting, before suggesting Stewart should partner with either of the Efron siblings “so she can win next season.”

“They would be so fire together,” Karagach, 32, predicted.

Stewart definitely seemed into the idea of guiding Dylan to his second-straight reality show win, after he finished as one of four cowinners on The Traitors season 3.

“I just feel like Dylan is good vibes,” Stewart told Us. “It looks like he’s just very down for anything, which is the type of attitude that you need to be on Dancing With the Stars. And then also, I got my start as a professional dancer with High School Musical. And his older brother is Zac Efron and I just feel like it would be a full circle moment.”

Indeed, the DWTS pro debuted in the industry as a principal dancer in all three High School Musical movies, in addition to touring with Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Rihanna and Selena Gomez. She joined Dancing With The Stars as a member of the pro dancer troupe in 2016.

The competition on Dancing With the Stars season 33 is tougher than ever, according to pro dancer Britt Stewart. “Here’s the thing, the judges have been hard, and I do believe that the judges were hard on [my partner], Eric [Roberts],” Stewart, 35, exclusively told Us at the Us Weekly + Pluto TV Reality Stars […]

Stewart has mentioned Dylan’s brother Zac as her dream DWTS partner before, but she admitted to Us in January that she wasn’t sure if “he would ever do” the show.

“It would just be the best reunion ever,” she said. “But also everyone would literally lose their mind. He’d win [and] he’s a great dancer so I think he would be the perfect person.”

Stewart most recently partnered with veteran actor Eric Roberts in Dancing With The Stars season 33, where they were eliminated in week three. Roberts’ early exit proved controversial when he had little to say to DWTS host Julianne Hough during a post-elimination interview.

Hough compared her awkward exchange with Roberts to Anna Delvey infamously admitting she’d take “nothing” away from her time on DWTS, though the actor tried to set the record straight in subsequent comments to Us Weekly.

“It’s a very simple answer,” Roberts told Us. “It’s very sad that I have to leave Britt. [I am] very happy that I don’t have to learn another dance.”

Dancing With the Stars fans can expect some big changes when season 32 premieres — but pro Britt Stewart has high hopes for the show’s next era. “I always believe that change is never easy,” Stewart, 33, exclusively told Us Weekly on Monday, August 7, when asked about Julianne Hough joining cohost Alfonso Ribeiro following […]

Stewart had much more success in the ballroom — and offscreen — with her season 31 partner Durant, as they made it all the way to week 9. The pair’s chemistry carried over once the season ended since they got engaged in December 2023.

Fellow DWTS pro Pasha Pashkov told Us Weekly at Tuesday’s Get Real event that he was impressed by how Stewart communicated fluently with deaf actor Durant using sign language.

“I think it was, like, mind blowing to see how Britt picked up sign language so quickly and got completely immersed in Daniel’s world,” Pashkov, 38, said. “We were just playing [for] four months on tour, and we always talk about it. It’s such an interesting turn of events. She was someone who did not know it going into this partnership. And now she’s fluent, and she’s now teaching us, and she’s teaching our baby [with wife Karagach], so [the] baby already knows the colors because of Britt.”

Karagach added of Stewart and Durant, “I feel like you spend so much time with each other and you really get to know a person, and sometimes you wouldn’t meet that person in the outside world. It takes you meeting them here, like Britt, to find your person and truly figure out who he was. She fell in love with the human being she’s marrying and for us, we create lifetime friends.”

Dancing With The Stars kicked off the excitement for season 34 on Tuesday by revealing Robert Irwin as its first celebrity contestant. The show will return to ABC and Disney+ this fall with new episodes streaming the next day on Hulu.
