The WNBA star and her team are now on the brink of elimination in the first round of the playoffs

Caitlin Clark gave a low grade to her team’s defense, after the Indiana Fever’s 102-85 loss to the Las Vegas Aces in the first round of the WNBA playoffs on Sunday, Sept. 27.
“An F,” Clark, 24, said after a reporter asked how she felt about the Fever’s “making things hard” on the Aces’ shot-making ability.
“Yeah. I mean, 28 points off of turnovers,” Fever coach Stephanie White interjected. “Your first line of transition defense is offensive execution, and 28 points off of turnovers, and 17 points from the free throw line. So, those are easy buckets. We didn’t do our job.”
The loss has the Fever on the brink of elimination in the best of 3 series, setting up a do-or-die Game 2 on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Clark, who had 15 points, 10 assists, three rebounds and six turnovers in the game, struggled to keep pace with the Aces.
Led by WNBA Player of the Year A’ja Wilson — who had 38 points, 16 rebounds, two steals and four blocks — the Aces dominated along with the help of Jackie Young’s 21-10 performance and Chelsea Gray’s 14 points, five rebounds and eight assists.

The Fever now hope that the Aces won’t sustain the blistering shooting (59% from the field, 47% from three-point range) in Indy.
Clark also showed her displeasure with at least one fan during the game on Sunday at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Vegas.
In a video of the WNBA star from the game, she angrily yelled “shut the f— up” at a heckler.
