Campbell ‘Pookie’ Puckett Had Surgery to Remove Pre-Cancer and Is Recovering

Campbell Puckett, known online as Pookie, began the new year by getting surgery to remove pre-cancer.

Her husband, Jett Puckett, provided the health update in a video posted on her Instagram and TikTok on Wednesday, Jan 8.

“Hey guys I got a bit of a different update today,” said Jett. “Pookie had to have surgery to remove some pre-cancer. We found out about this a while back. It’s been very scary, especially for me. I am so madly in love with Campbell that the thought of anything at all being wrong with her is, frankly, more than I can bear.”

“Campbell, on the other hand, has been incredibly strong, incredibly brave about this. She just always has this tremendously strong faith that everything is going to work out,” he continued.

Jett said that his wife’s strength leading up to the surgery was “just remarkable” and that her procedure “went well.”

“[The] doctor is cautiously optimistic that we’ll be good to go now,” he said.

To aid with her recovery, Jett said that he was at Chick-fil-A getting some of his wife’s “favorite things” and an “amazing bouquet of flowers.”

The video then shows Jett arriving at their home to deliver Campbell her gifts while she relaxes in bed.

“I mean, I’m just so proud of you, how brave and strong you’ve been leading up to the surgery,” said Jett. “You’re just remarkable, and I really admire and cherish your faith that everything’s gonna work out. You’re just the best person I know.”

Campbell, getting visually emotional, thanked him and said that she tries to “stay strong and positive” for him and their daughter Paloma, whose birth they announced in November.

The video ended with the couple thanking their followers for their ongoing support.

“I love you so much. Thank you, and thank you guys for being here. We’re so thankful to have you here and to love our family. It means everything to us,” said Campbell.

Over on her Instagram Stories, Campbell reiterated to her fans that she was ok by posting a close-up of her hospital gown.
