After staying fairly mum in the past year, Summer House star Carl Radke is clearing the air about his current relationship with ex Lindsay Hubbard, dating again — and so much more.
“I initially was like, ‘I don’t do a ton of these kinds of things, because I always felt [to] just let the show speak for itself in a way,’” Carl, 40, said on the Wednesday, February 5, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast about his decision to sit down with Nick Viall. “In the last year or two, with the whole break-up stuff, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out, ‘How do I navigate this?’ It’s a difficult situation. I didn’t want to make it any more challenging and I felt like it was best to stay quiet, wait until the season airs and really try to heal.”
After many years of friendship, Carl started dating Lindsay, 38, a year into his sobriety. While they got engaged during Summer House season 7, Carl was accused of blindsiding Lindsay when he decided to end their engagement months before their planned wedding ceremony.
Lindsay would go on to welcome daughter Gemma with new boyfriend Turner Kufe in December 2024. For Carl, he repeatedly stressed on “The Viall Files” that he wished Lindsay and her family the best.

Carl Insists He ‘Didn’t Set’ Up Lindsay With Filmed Breakup Scene
After Summer House season 8 wrapped in summer 2024, cameras picked up with Carl telling Lindsay the wedding was canceled.
“It was a such difficult summer,” he said. “That particular conversation, I didn’t set her up with producers. They were already doing pick-up filming after we wrapped that last day and knew we weren’t in a good place and knew we’d have to talk on camera one way or another. But, how that conversation actually played out, that is literally how it played out.”
According to Carl, he “didn’t walk in wanting to end” their relationship.
“But, the falling-out of it all from that day was what made it,” the Bravo star recalled. “I didn’t process what was going to happen after we had that conversation. Within an hour of that, it was on the internet that we had broken up. I went down the street to a hotel to get some space, I stayed in the hotel that night and the next morning, I got a text from her friends saying, ‘Hey, if you want to get some stuff from the apartment, [come by].’”
Carl was ultimately joined by a producer to pick up his belongings before jetting off to the airport to visit his parents in Pittsburgh.
Carl Lost $150,000 on Wedding Deposits
When Carl ended his and Lindsay’s engagement, it was one week after the deadline to get their wedding deposits back.
“I wrote statements, I had planned podcast interviews that I canceled [and] I thought a lot about … sharing my side of the story,” he said. “It felt, to me, as a male with a public platform [and] trying to defend myself, it just didn’t feel right. Even though I felt I did what was right, which was if you feel it wasn’t right to move forward with the wedding.”
According to Carl, he went into that Summer House season still planning the big day.
“Like, the amount of money we invested in all of it. I missed the cancellation for our wedding to get a full refund by seven days,” Carl alleged. “I wasn’t thinking about canceling anything other than trying to get on the same page with her. Had I been about seven days sooner, I would have saved around $150,000. But, that wasn’t in my brain. I was just trying to land the plane with her.”
Carl further stressed that “if [he] was smart,” he would have broken up with Lindsay two months earlier to “save a ton of money, pain and misery.”

Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard‘s split sent shock waves through the Bravo universe — but he’s been wrestling with the decision for a while, according to an insider. . “Lindsay was 100 percent blindsided by the engagement being called off, but it was a long time coming for Carl,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly. Carl Says ‘Of Course’ He Still Misses Lindsay
“She brought out the child in me and we had a lot of funny jokes [and] the history we had over the years filming Summer House,” Carl said. “The first six or seven seasons, she and I pretty much rode out there and back together. We built a very strong bond. I think as you get into this [reality TV] world, it’s nice to date someone who gets it.”
Carl also gushed that Lindsay is “a ton of fun.”
“How it all transpired, us getting together, it was almost destined to be,” he said. “We spent so much time together and had so much chemistry. I had gotten sober, had about eight [or] nine months under my belt, but that was that pivotal time [where I should have stayed single]. I was advised by many people to ‘stay sober a year.’”
Carl, meanwhile, made the internal argument that it was different with Lindsay since they were already such close friends.
“I don’t have any regret[s],” Carl said. “I’m glad I tried to pursue a relationship with her. I wish I could have handled things differently. I never wanted to hurt her.”

Bravo/YouTube (2) Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard’s split surprised many fans — but season 8 of Summer House continues to prove that a breakup was inevitable. How Carl Found Out Lindsay Was Pregnant
Lindsay announced via Instagram in July 2024 that she and Kufe were expecting their first baby. Carl learned of the news through her social media post.
“I was happy for her,” Carl said. “Like, I want her happy. I really care about Lindsay and I know Lindsay. I’ve seen the little girl inside that I want to flourish and be happy — and I saw that little girl over this summer, where she was smiling and really happy.”
Before Carl saw Lindsay’s announcement, he was aware she “was seeing someone.”
“I think shortly after we broke up she was, from what I understand, dating the country music singer who was going to sing at our wedding,” Carl claimed, referring to Dustin Lynch. “Or had been pursuing him. Again, we spoke to his team. He was booked to sing at the wedding and then, I guess she did pursue that.”
Lindsay previously maintained that she was only friends with Lynch, 39, after purchasing property in Nashville. She later started dating Kufe, a physician who prefers to stay out of the limelight.
Learning of Lindsay’s pregnancy was also “a shock” for Carl — and helped provide closure to move on from the breakup.
“It was something she always wanted,” Carl said. “I was happy [for her]. What really hit me, I was like, ‘Damn, that was fast.’ I hadn’t even had sex with anybody since her and I’m, like, she’s already pregnant? I called a good friend of mine, and he’s like, ‘Dude, you couldn’t ask for better closure.’”
Carl Addresses Maria Georgas Rumors
After the breakup, Carl was rumored to have moved on with The Bachelor alum Maria Georgas after they were allegedly spotted together at TomTom in Los Angeles.
“That’s not true,” Carl stated. “I was there, but I don’t know who Maria from The Bachelor is. Hand to God, I’ve never met her and I don’t know what she looks like. You could hold up four pictures of people and I wouldn’t know [which she was].”
The Last Time Carl Dated
While filming Summer House season 9, Carl was finally ready to dip his toe back into the dating scene. After meeting new people out in the Hamptons, he went on to date an unidentified woman in fall 2024.
“This summer, I started to put myself out there. It took me a little while to unwind the feelings of the past relationship,” Carl said. “I didn’t hook up with anyone until this summer. I just wasn’t mentally there.”
He added, “I met someone at the end of the summer, dated in the fall a little bit [and have been] seeing each other recently. I think I still need to get right back … I have a lot going on.”
While Carl admits he needs to work on himself for the time being, he did note that he hopes to find The One and eventually become a father.
“I would like to meet someone, but I’m realizing more than ever to stay focused on my career and what I’m building,” he said. “I feel lucky that I get a chance to restart and do things that I really want to do.”
Carl Admits He ‘Did Worry’ About Paige and Craig’s Relationship Before Split
When asked about costar Paige DeSorbo and Craig Conover’s recent breakup, Carl proclaimed that he is “Team Paige.”
“I’m a Paige guy. I give her props for the way she handled doing it on [her podcast] ‘Giggly Squad.’ There’s no easy way to do any of that,” Carl said. “I texted her, ‘I give you credit.’”
According to Carl, the writing was on the wall with the demise of their romance.
“It’s such a difficult thing to break up in that manner,” he stated. “I did worry that the distance and where they were career-wise was maybe not in line. Craig was ready to settle down, but Paige is young. … I feel equally sorry for both of them, but I will say I am closer to Paige than I am to Craig.”
Carl also recalled filming with Craig, 35, “this past summer” while he was still dating Paige, 32.
“What I uncovered was his behavior, at a period of time, was not great at all,” Carl claimed. “Paige was like, ‘I can’t be with you if you’re going to be like this.’ I know she dealt with a lot of his ups and downs and challenges through the years. I feel, like, that got lost in the shuffle … but [she] helped him become a better version of himself.”
