Caroline Wozniacki’s family is growing again!
On Sunday, April 6, the Danish tennis player, 34, revealed that she is pregnant and expecting her third baby with her husband David Lee. She announced the happy news on Instagram, sharing an adorable family photo featuring herself and Lee, a retired NBA All-Star, along with their two kids, daughter Olivia, 3, and son James, 2. The family of four can be seen standing together on a beach, with Olivia holding ultrasound images of the baby.
“Officially switching to zone defense! Our family couldn’t be more excited to welcome baby #3 soon! 👶🏼,” Wozniacki captioned the post — a reference to the fact that she and Lee will soon be outnumbered by kids.
PEOPLE reached out to reps for Wozniacki for comment on Sunday, March 6, but did not receive an immediate response.
Wozniacki announced what was ultimately a temporary retirement from tennis in December 2019, specifically citing her goal to start a family with Lee, 41, whom she had married the previous June, as well as noting her 2018 rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis.

“I’ve always told myself, when the time comes, that there are things away from tennis that I want to do more, then it’s time to be done. In recent months, I’ve realized that there is a lot more in life that I’d like to accomplish off the court,” she wrote in an Instagram post at the time.
She added: “Getting married to David was one of those goals and starting a family with him while continuing to travel the world and helping raise awareness about rheumatoid arthritis (project upcoming) are all passions of mine moving forward.”

Wozniacki returned to the sport in June 2023, sharing at the time that she “still had goals” she wanted to accomplish — and that she wanted to show her children that you can always “pursue your dreams.”
“Over these past three years away from the game I got to make up for lost time with my family, I became a mother and now have two beautiful children I am so grateful for,” she wrote in a post on X. “But I still have goals I want to accomplish. I want to show my kids that you can pursue your dreams no matter your age or role. We decided as a family it’s time. I’m coming back to play and I can’t wait!”
That August, Wozniacki shared another message on Instagram while competing at Wimbledon, emphasizing her pride in pursuing her career goals while also being a mom.
“3 years, 8 Months, 2 kids later! We are back baby!! Feels good to get the W today! 💪🏻,” she wrote at the time, alongside a photo of herself playing in the tournament.
