Charissa Thompson is the latest recipient of Taylor Swift’s coveted Pop-Tarts.
In a Saturday, May 31, Instagram post, Thompson, 43, shared a carousel of photos — but one image caught eagle-eyed fans’ attention more than the others. The second to last slide featured a zoomed in photo of Swift’s colorful Pop-Tarts, with some featuring icing and sprinkles. The homemade treats were enclosed in a white box, which was labeled “Charissa” in cursive handwriting.
Fans were quick to weigh in in the comments section and share their surprise over seeing Swift, 35, gift her pal the Pop-Tarts. (Thompson and Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, have been pals for years, and she encouraged Swift to pursue a relationship with him on an August 2023 episode of her and Erin Andrews’ “Calm Down” podcast.)
“Love all these pics! And the casual add of the Taytarts added in is amazing!!” one user wrote, while another added, “We can recognise Taylor’s pop tarts in any life 😍.”
Kelce, 35, subtly supported the gesture by giving the Instagram post a “like.”
The Eras Tour performer, who has been dating Kelce since summer 2023, has made headlines through the years for her thoughtful treats.
“Kind of behind-the-scenes … she likes to cook, so she made the offensive linemen these homemade pop-tarts,” Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said in a February 2024 interview at the NFL Scouting Combine. “So it was over. She knew right where to go. She didn’t give me one, and the offensive linemen definitely didn’t give me one.”
Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones, for his part, gushed over the baked goods in February.
“You know what, shout-out to Tay Tay,” Jones, 30, told the Kansas City Star at the time. “Her Pop-Tarts are amazing. I was asking Trav [because] I don’t know how she gets the crust of the Pop-Tarts so fire. The crust tastes like biscuits, I swear to you. But, shout-out to Tay Tay, she’s a real one.”
Kelce has been by Swift’s side as she has whipped up her creations in the kitchen. In an April 2024 YouTube short, Swift shared a brief clip of Kelce kissing her on the cheek as she tossed vegetables in a pan.
“I thoroughly enjoy cooking with her, so it’s something I’d rather keep personal,” Kelce said during a June 2024 press conference when asked about their favorite recipes to make. “Taylor makes a great Pop-Tart and cinnamon roll.”
