Much like everything else that takes place at Abbott Elementary, picture day didn’t go down without some chaos, as indicated in tonight’s episode.
However, as the teachers tried to show their students in their best light, they also took the time to share their own adorable — albeit embarrassing — photos from back in the day and let’s just say, we weren’t disappointed.

Quinta Brunson
Before she was making us laugh and believe in a better world as Janine on Abbott Elementary, Quinta Brunson showed off her sporty side, hitting the splits and flashing her pom poms for a school photo.
Tyler James Williams
Those who have followed Tyler James Williams from his days on Everybody Hates Chris know he’s always been an adorable kid. And it appears he comes by that deadpan Gregory Eddie smirk naturally.
Chris Perfetti
The earring! The perfectly gelled hair! The wire frame glasses! Chris Perfetti brought the ’90s swag in a big way — and did not at all look like Millie Bobby Brown’s twin, as Jacob’s students teased.
Lisa Ann Walter
Lisa Ann Walter was preparing for her role as Melissa Schemmenti long before she stole our hearts onscreen.
“School pictures from back in the day included a giant picture book, and they gave us a crayon as if we colored it,” Walter tells PEOPLE of her picture day classic. “Unfortunately, this was an actual photo and it was damaged over the years, but that is a fire truck that I’m supposedly coloring. Very Melissa!” she concluded, alluding to her character’s ambition to be a firefighter (and affinity for a certain fireman!).
