Chrishell Stause Is ‘Back on the IVF Hell Train’ and Says It Might Be Her ‘Last Attempt’

Chrishell Stause is attempting another round of in vitro fertilization (IVF), but it might be her last.

“Back on the IVF hell train,” the Selling Sunset star, 43, wrote via Instagram Stories on Thursday June 19, alongside a photo of her medication. “I think this may be my last attempt. There are other alternatives, but this route needed to be tried first bc of timing. So if it’s meant to be, it will be. If not, pivot.”

She apparently received a ton of support after posting the update. In another Story on Thursday, she shared a snapshot of Lara Flynn Boyle (as Donna Hayward in Twin Peaks) crying and wrote, “Live footage of me reading all the beautiful supportive messages on the last slide. THANK YOU.”

Stause married Australian musician G Flip in 2022 after a few months of dating. They had a second ceremony in 2023. She has been open about the fact that they’re “actively trying” to expand their family despite difficult obstacles. (G Flip, 31, identifies as nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns.)

“I’m literally still bleeding from a shot I had to just give myself,” Stause exclusively told Us Weekly in April at the opening of The Tryst Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. She added that, despite what people might think, she’s the one who’s constantly comforting G Flip.

Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause and her spouse, G Flip, are “actively trying” to expand their family despite difficult obstacles. “I’m literally still bleeding from a shot I had to just give myself,” Stause, 43, exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, April 25, at the opening of The Tryst Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. “So, yes, […]

“You would think in the relationship that would maybe be me. Here I am in my pink and my updo and my crystals, [but] absolutely not,” Stause quipped to Us. “I’m the one consoling [them] over watching a movie. I’m like, ‘Oh, no, this is going to tear G apart. G is just really, really sensitive and emotional.’ I think that’s why they’re so good at writing music. They really are so in tune with their emotions. It’s the sweetest thing and I love it.”

In an interview with the “People Every Day” podcast in May 2022, G Flip said they can “definitely see children in [their] future.”

“Right now, me and Chrishell know where we are in the stages of our lives. And we’re very transparent about that,” they said. “I love children. I was a music teacher for years before I became a session drummer and then a solo artist. So I was like, ‘I’ve always loved kids and, yeah, definitely one day that’ll be in the future.’”

Us caught up with Stause and G Flip in May, where they revealed their fertility journey has been anything but easy.

“We’re in a situation where it’s not easy to have kids,” Stause shared. “It’s not like we can have one naturally. There are so many steps, there’s so much planning, there are so many complications and things that can go wrong.”

G Flip also admitted that the biggest strain on their marriage so far has been trying to have a baby.

“It’s been very stressful,” they said. “Queer couples having kids, things not going your way, it’s been pretty sad at times.”

Stause added, “We’re still on that road and we’ve had a few setbacks. But we’re just navigating and going through the process. It doesn’t always happen the way you want it. Whatever happens is what’s meant to happen, and we are trying to support each other through it all.”

Chrishell Stause has been open about her desire to start a family — and isn’t afraid to get real about how difficult the process can be, too. “Well, it’s been a bumpy road,” Stause, 43, exclusively told Us Weekly on Monday, March 10, of her and partner G Flip’s plans to start a family via […]

Stause was previously married to This Is Us star Justin Hartley from 2017 to 2019. She then briefly dated her Selling Sunset costar and boss Jason Oppenheim before calling it quits in December 2021 and falling for G Flip.

“Everything happens for a reason,” Stause told Us, sharing her hopes for a child. “When it does happen, because I know it’s going to happen, I won’t be able to talk about it without crying from joy. Whenever that day comes, everyone be prepared!”
