Christina Haack’s Christina on the Coast Is the Latest HGTV Show Cancellation

NEED TO KNOW

  • A source confirms to PEOPLE that Christina Haack’s Christina on the Coast has not been renewed for a new season
  • The cancellation comes amid HGTV’s purge of many of its top shows
  • The Flipping El Moussas has also been reportedly cancelled

Christina Haack is about to say adieu to one of her HGTV shows.

A source confirms to PEOPLE that Haack’s Christina on the Coast has not been renewed for a new season. Us Weekly was the first to report the news.

The cancellation comes amid HGTV cutting many of its top shows. The network has also canceled Bargain Block, Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate and Izzy Does It.

The second half of season 5 of Christina on the Coast kicked off on Thursday, Feb. 27, months after Haack’s ex-husband, Josh Hall, filed for divorce after nearly three years of marriage in July 2024.

As usual, fans saw the design expert tackling a renovation project for a family whose home was in desperate need of a makeover. While Hall did not appear in the premiere, he was in the first half of season five, which aired in the summer of 2024.

Haack’s other show, Christina in the Country, premiered its second season in November 2024. It is not known if the show will air a new season.

As for The Flip Off, which saw Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae El Moussa teaming up against Haack to see who could “find, buy, renovate and flip a house for the biggest financial gain,” the source tells PEOPLE that it has been picked up for a second season but hasn’t started filming.

As fans recall, the show was initially meant to see Hall team up with Haack to face off against her ex-husband and his current wife.

Speaking with PEOPLE ahead of its season one premiere in January, she told PEOPLE that the show ultimately helped her cope with the end of her third marriage.

“It definitely was a distraction. I think it relieved that stress,” she said. “The show was stressful in itself for different reasons not even having to do with our dynamic. Just flipping a house that fast and I haven’t flipped in a long time. So I think it was a good distraction.”

While Tarek and Heather have another season of The Flip Off to look forward to, an insider told Us Weekly that their other show, The Flipping El Moussas, is “not coming back” to HGTV for a new season. The show premiered its second season in December 2024.
