Bailey Zimmerman is stepping up his concert game.
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the country singer, 25, said he feels he has “something to prove” when he sets off on his Different Night Same Rodeo tour, his first-ever in arenas, in 2026.
“I honestly feel like I’ve been restricted in smaller venues. I have always had this dream and this idea for this arena show — this big, awesome show,” Zimmerman said during the first night of the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Sept. 19.
“I’m really excited to, I guess, prove that next year, I can do it,” the “Rock and a Hard Place” musician continued.

For Zimmerman, he’s been thinking about the upcoming tour for as long as he can remember.
“There’s something about being in an arena that brings it back to you, to where you can really control that environment,” he explained.
“I’m really excited to show people what I can do in there,” Zimmerman continued, adding, “I feel like I’ve been ready for it. I’ve been dreaming about it. I’m ready, I’m prepared. Let’s go.”

The CMA-nominated star has had a meteoric rise over the past few years, with multiple No. 1 songs. His collaboration with rapper BigXthaPlug for “All the Way” topped both the Hot Country Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts.
Zimmerman’s Different Night Same Rodeo tour will take him to 30 cities. It kicks off in Estero, Fla., on Feb. 19 and concludes in Ontario, Canada on June 20.
“I have something to prove, and this opportunity. I’m not letting it go to waste,” Zimmerman told PEOPLE. “I’m going to crush it. It’s going to be awesome, I know it.”
Last year, in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Zimmerman marveled at how far he has come.
“Man, it’s just crazy to not live in a trailer anymore. I feel like any time you can have the opportunity to make it out and support your family, retire your dad, get to do things that nobody else gets to do, it’s just emotional all the time,” he said.
Added Zimmerman: “Every day is emotional. You wake up, and I’ve got a house now and got two puppies. To be recognized for your music is insane.”
