A Massachusetts father is “very sore” after building a 20-foot-tall snowman.
Eric Aalerud, an electrician and house flipper, recently built the snowman, which he named Parker, for his toddler daughter in Shirley, Mass.
“I was very sore,” Eric told Boston-area outlet WHDH after completing the massive project, adding, “And I will say, I was more sore doing this than anything I’ve done in the last five, 10 years.”
Parker — named after the street that he, wife Katie and their daughter live on — is also wider than its height, spanning 21 feet wide.
The snowman has quickly turned into a temporary local attraction.
“Every five to 10 minutes after we first made the thing, there’d be a car out here stopped,” the proud father told the outlet, adding that he can’t wait to show his daughter photos and videos of the snowman when she’s older.
In an interview with NBC10 Boston, Eric's wife shared that he used a snowblower, a shovel, wood, a ladder and “water to freeze everything.”

And for the big black top hat on Parker’s head, Eric used “a trash barrel and plywood, spray-painted black,” Katie revealed.
The Aaleruds plan to make this a tradition, one that gets bigger every year.
