Dax Shepard is celebrating Kristen Bell’s 2025 Emmy Awards nomination with an unconventional tribute photo!
The actress scored an Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series nomination for her portrayal of Joanne in the romantic comedy series, Nobody Wants This. Shepard, 50, posted an Instagram photo of Bell, 44, posing in a downward dog position wearing only a pair of bright blue knee-high socks in the backyard.
“People might not know everything that happens behind the scenes in order to create an Emmy nominated performance like Kristen’s,” Shepard’s caption read. “This may or may not have been a part of her training, but it felt right. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!”
The couple initially met at a dinner party in 2007 and began dating later that year. In 2010, they announced their engagement, and three years later — after waiting for gay marriage to be legalized in California, as a show of solidarity — they tied the knot in October 2013. Shortly after, they welcomed two daughters: Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 9.
Along with Shepard’s sweet message to his wife of 11 years, Bell posted a photo of her reaction to learning she scored a nomination. It included a snap of Bell and series creator, Erin Foster, on Zoom as they worked on an ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) session together for the series’ second season.
In the first image, both women have their mouths agape in excitement at learning the news of Bell’s nomination. The second image includes Bell photographing a tearful Foster as she responds to the nomination. The show itself received the Outstanding Comedy Series nomination, meaning Foster, 42, scored a nomination for her work as a producer.
Bell simply captioned the post: “finding out I was nominated for an Emmy – finding out @erinfoster was nominated for an Emmy!!!!”
Shepard commented on his wife’s post, “May you only listen to ‘Strut’ by Steven Seagal all day long. You’ve earned it!!!!”
Bell is nominated alongside The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri, Jean Smart in Hacks, Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson and Uzo Aduba in The Residence.
Alongside Foster and Bell, lead actor Adam Brody was also nominated for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series thanks to his portrayal of Rabbi Noah Roklov. Also nominated are: Shrinking‘s Jason Segel, Jeremy Allen White in The Bear, Martin Short in Only Murders in the Building and The Studio’s Seth Rogen.
