Dennis Quaid is opening up about his marriage to Laura Savoie, whom he eloped with in 2020

The couple also work together as the actor appointed Savoie as founding partner of his production company, Bonniedale Films, in 2021
Dennis Quaid says being married to Laura Savoie is “paradise.”
The Sovereign star, 71, recently detailed what marriage has been like with Savoie, 32, whom he met in 2019 and eloped with in 2020. “Every day is paradise with her. It really is,” the actor shared with Fox News Digital on Monday, July 28.
“It’s the closest relationship I’ve ever had with anybody,” Quaid continued. “I don’t know why God had waited so long to bring her, for her to come along, but [I’m] really glad he brought her into my life, or I walked into hers.”
Along with being married for five years, Quaid and Savoie also work together professionally. The actor appointed her a founding partner of his production company, Bonniedale Films, in 2021.

Quaid and Savoie met in 2019 at a business event after being introduced by a mutual friend. Quaid later told PEOPLE it was “love at first sight.”
The couple originally planned to get married in Hawaii in April 2020 with a reception to be held at a later date in Nashville, but the couple were forced to postpone their plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They ended up eloping in Santa Barbara at a seaside resort on June 2, 2020, with their pastor as the only witness present.
“It was beautiful,” Quaid told PEOPLE of the intimate ceremony.
Savoie is The Parent Trap star’s fourth wife. He was previously married to P.J. Soles from 1978 to 1983, Meg Ryan from 1991 to 2001 and Kimberly Buffington from 2004 to 2018. He shares son Jack with Ryan and twins Thomas and Zoe with Buffington.
“Laura’s the love of my life,” Quaid told PEOPLE in July 2023. “She came along and we have a bond with one another that I never had with anybody else before. It’s a joy of life that we share together.”
