The two women haven't shied away from discussing aging in recent years. In April 2025, Mills talked about plastic surgery with Joan Van Ark and Michele Lee on the Knots Landing podcast We’re Knot Done Yet.
"I think there's a certain point where it's really helpful, probably in your 40s. Then it lasts you longer. It keeps you younger-looking longer. Don't do it too much. If you do it too much, it's ugly and horrible," Mills said.

Of her own procedures, she added, "Back when I was in my 40s, on Knots Landing, yes, I did a lift," she said. "And it was subtle, but it lasted, you know. And I haven't done anything since. Nothing since then."
"But, you know, that's why I say I think it's better to do it then, and then, don't think about doing it anymore when you're older. Also, skin isn't as pliable when you're older, so you can get kind of pulled-looking," Mills added.

In a Oct. 2021 interview, Hershey applauded Game of Thrones as a show that did an excellent job of portraying people of all ages and stages of life.
"They had people of all ages in Game of Thrones. They had really young people and really older people, and we loved them all," she told Business Insider.
"I really think audiences are ready to embrace people of all ages, and older people are just younger people who got older," Hershey added. "That's the only difference, and in many ways, we're better. I have more fun now, and I know more, so it's not such a fearful thing."
