Donny Osmond Celebrates Wife of 47 Years, Debbie, in Nostalgic Post: ‘My Eternal Love’

Donny Osmond is celebrating the birthday of woman who “captured” his heart: his wife of nearly 47 years, Debbie.

The 67-year-old singer took to Instagram recently to share a carousel of images of himself and his wife, 66, over the years.

“Here are some of my personal pictures through the years with the birthday girl who captured my heart. Happy birthday, Debbie. I love you,” he captioned the post.

The post includes the couple’s “first official” photo together, as well as a snap from their wedding day (“the best decision I ever made,” Donny wrote).

Another photo shows the two leaning their heads on one another while traveling, with Donny joking that Debbie is his “favorite pillow.” Yet another shows Donny wearing a Snow White-themed T-shirt with Grumpy the dwarf on it, with the caption, “She loves me even when I’m grumpy.”

Elsewhere in the post, Donny wrote that his wife is the “cutest grandma ever” and his “world traveling partner” as well as his “teenage crush.”

Calling Debbie his “eternal love,” Donny also showcased moments from the couple’s past, such as her first appearance on the Donny & Marie show.

“You are the love of my life,” Donny wrote on the final picture of his wife.

The couple first met when they were teenagers, with Donny revealing in a Facebook post shared in 2016 that she was 15 years old and dating his brother Jay at the time.

“She was the hot babe cheerleader in town and she dated my brother Jay before she dated me,” he captioned a throwback photo of them when they were dating. “It took me 3 whole years to win her heart and convince her to marry me.”

They tied the knot in May 1978.

After getting married, they went on to welcome five children together. Over the years, their children have started families of their own, giving the couple 14 grandchildren.

Donny is currently bringing the nostalgia back in other ways, including with his solo Las Vegas show at Harrah’s Showroom, where he appears with a ’70s-era avatar of himself.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, he credited Debbie for helping him maintain “balance” in life.

“I’ve seen way too many people, contemporaries of mine, who’ve really lost it,” he said. “They’ve lost the most important thing in their lives, their family or their health. They just don’t know how to balance. My wife has been so good for me in that regard.”

He has also previously opened up about how his wife helped him while he was struggling with anxiety, saying in a 2022 interview, “There was something simple about [Debbie], and I lived a very complicated life … Debbie has given my life stability. She keeps my feet on the ground.”
