After conceptualizing the idea, the Emmy-winning star consulted with hairstylist Jacob Rozenberg. The two added the wired headphones into her sleek space buns, “as a statement on reimagining the past for the future — breathing new life into something once discarded,” according to a press release.
Cameron kept it couture with “an ethereal, textured ensemble from Collina Strada perfectly set the tone for what’s next in Dove’s creative world.”
Her nude-colored mesh top was completely see-through from the back but featured flower-like ruffles cascading down the front.
For the “Good to be Bad” singer’s bottom, she wore an asymmetrical plaid skirt and white tennis shoes.
“Love filled night @collinastrada thank you for making me feel like myself !! ps don’t throw away broken tech if u can wear it !!” Cameron captioned an Instagram carousel, adding a series of related emojis, such as a CD and headphones.
Fans appreciated her creativity.
“The airpods in the haiir??? omg SOO you coded,” one person wrote. Another added, “Obsessed with the earphones, you little genius.”
The high-tech theme is heavily reflected in her upcoming album, Alchemical: Volume 2, which she’s been teasing on social media.
Cameron previously spoke exclusively to PEOPLE for the release of Alchemical, Vol. 1, saying revisiting past traumas helped her write the album as an “emotional spring cleaning.”
“Some of these songs are about things that happened 10 years ago. Some of these songs are things that I’ve never been able to write about,” she said of the writing process during the December 2023 interview.
“I finally felt like if I didn’t write about them, I was going to carry them forward with me,” she added.

While later going more in-depth about her past traumas, she explained that “part of why the album is called Alchemical” was because “it’s the experience of alchemy where you take one form of energy and you turn it into something else.”
Fast forward to 2025, Cameron will have new music dropping this month.
