The former HGTV stars took to social media to ask their followers to help them get an allegedly fraudulent Facebook page taken down

Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson are calling on their fans for help to take down what they say is a fraudulent social media account.
The former Married to Real Estate stars took to Instagram to explain the situation and detail the “damage” it’s causing after false stories about them have been circulating on the internet.
“Mike and I wanted to let you know something, because we told y’all this for years. We’ve been telling you this, but folks still want to believe what they want to believe,” Sherrod, 49, began in the video post. “If you don’t hear it from us first, it didn’t happen. It’s not true.”
She then reveals a Facebook account claiming to be the couple and the negative impact it’s having on their family.

“So there’s a page on Facebook, it’s called Property Pioneers, and we need your help to go on Facebook and get this page down,” she says as Jackson nods his head behind her. “Because when I say the damage that they are doing, and the thousands of people that are believing the stories.”
Sherrod then claims the account made up a story about her having cancer, which caused distress to her children who saw the post.
“I mean literally, my children asked me if I have cancer, because this story has traveled so far and wide, and it’s made up,” she says.
Jackson then chimes in and advises their followers to “just pay attention to, not just to that page but anything, again, if it didn’t come from us…” he continues, as the pair both highlight how the account was allegedly using AI to “make it look real.”

In the next slide, they go through a few examples of the posts the account has been sharing, from one claiming Sherrod has been diagnosed with brain cancer to her making comments about the LGBTQ+ community that she says she never said in real life. Sherrod calls the fake account extremely “harmful and dangerous,” and emphasizes that the posts are “not true.”
“Here’s the page, Property Pioneers, they have blocked me now ever since I was commenting on their posts telling people it was not real and asking them to take it down,” she says. “So they blocked me, and they know that we have asked them to take it down.”

In the caption, Sherrod echoes her request for help from her fans so they can get the account removed.
“If folks could just direct their energy and efforts for good….. 🙈” she began. “Help us family by going to Facebook and reporting this page and any others as fake and malicious. Thank you. I love you and there is nothing you can do about it. 💋”
Since the TV host shared their message on social media, the fake account appears to have been removed or made private.
A message from Facebook says. “This content isn’t available right now. When this happens, it’s usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it’s been deleted.”
