Emily Blunt spent Oscar Sunday with a very different Anne Hathaway.
While her Devil's Wear Prada costar was presenting at the 2026 Academy Awards on March 15, Blunt was seeing Broadway's & Juliet — the musical that follows William Shakespeare and his wife, also named Anne Hathaway, as they rewrite the ending to his romantic tragedy, Romeo & Juliet.
Attending the matinee performance with her husband John Krasinski and their two daughters (Hazel, 12, and Violet, 9), Blunt traded in Hollywood glitz for an afternoon family outing to the theater.
After the show, Blunt, 43, and Krasinski, 46, greeted the cast on stage at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, the & Juliet team capturing the moment for a video they later shared to social media.

The duo also posed with the company for a group photo.
"They were so kind and generous," a source on the scene tells PEOPLE. "They were complimenting everyone on their performances, and taking pics with everyone who asked. They spent so much time with the cast, and said over and over how great the show was an how much they enjoyed it. It was really kind."
Krasinski said as much, sharing appreciative words on the & Juliet's Instagram post.
"Blown. Away!" he wrote. "You all were magic incarnate! Thank you for a phenomenal show!"

& Juliet was created by Emmy-winning writer David West Read, best known for his work on Schitt’s Creek. The comedy flips the script on the greatest love story ever told, setting the story through a high-energy playlist of pop anthems — all written or produced by chart-topping hitmaker Max Martin.
Those include tunes made popular by *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Bon Jovi, Ariana Grande, Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato and Robyn — like “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “I Want It That Way,” “Confident,” and more.
The production — directed by Luke Sheppard, with choreography by Jennifer Weber — opened on Broadway on Nov. 17, 2022 and went on to earn nine Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical.
It's one of Broadway's steadiest sells, and has productions running in London and Toronto as well as on tour across North America.
The current Broadway company includes Gianna Harris as Juliet, Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart as Lance, Teal Wicks as Anne, Drew Gehling as Shakespeare, Michael Iván Carrier as May, Grammy winner Kandi Burruss as Angélique, Liam Pearce as Romeo and Nathan Levy as François.
Featured in the ensemble are Gabe Amato, Daniel Assetta, Reese Britts, Nicholas Cooper, Halima Dodo, Jhailyn Paige Farcon, Makai Hernandez, Joomin Hwang, Elsa Keefe, Alaina Ví Maderal, Daniel J. Maldonado, Mackenzie Meadows, Alejandro MullerDahlberg, Cassie Silva, TJ Tapp, Zalah Vallien, Darien Van Rensalier and Romy Vuksan.
