Erin Napier’s daughter is proving that she’s an artist.
On Monday, Oct. 13, the HGTV star, 40, posted a picture of a drawing her 4-year-old daughter Mae created for her on Instagram. In the snap, Erin can be seen holding the drawing, which depicts the mom of two, illustrated in what appears to be crayon.
In the photo, Erin has yellow hair and bright green glasses. “‘Mommy in Her Glasses’ – Mae, age 4,” she captioned the silly photo.

When the proud parents spoke with Today in September, they shared that when it comes to their kids’ birthday parties, they follow this one rule that might be considered unpopular.
“Our rule is, until they’re old enough to plan it themselves, it’s supper at grandparents,” Ben shared.
“If your 4-year-old’s birthday party looks like a wedding, what do they have to look forward to?” asked Erin. “Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I think there’s a lot of moms out there who feel the same way I do.”
In January, Erin shared a sweet post on Instagram after she noticed that her daughter Mae was quiet all morning after dropping off sister Helen at school. When Erin asked Mae what she’d do during the day, now that her sister is back at school, the little one had an adorable response.
“Mae was quiet after we dropped Helen off at school this morning after she’d been home all week with the holiday and weather days,” Erin captioned the Instagram post, which featured her daughter reading a book while lying in bed under the covers.
“[Ben] asked her, ‘Mae Mae what you gonna do today since Sissy is back to school?’ she said ‘…..My day will be small without Helen.’ 💔 I felt that.”
Last summer, Erin shared a photo on her Instagram of Mae wearing a teal unicorn costume for the “last time.” In the sweet photo, the toddler could be seen wearing the fuzzy costume with the hood up, posing in a bathroom.
In her caption, Napier took a moment to reflect on how her daughter is getting older, sharing how she knew it was the final hurrah for the costume.
“I saw a ‘last time’ and knew it: the passed down 2T unicorn costume they loved that I got at Dirt Cheap for $3 was worn for the last time this week,” Erin wrote. “It’s comforting to capture it, for some reason. 🙂 We’re losing her babyness but getting real, sweet, thoughtful conversations in exchange.”
