ESPN Reporter Says Travis Kelce Needs to ‘Keep Up With His Girlfriend’ When It Comes to Conditioning

If Travis Kelce wants to be prepared for the upcoming 2025-2026 NFL season, he needs to seriously consider taking a page from girlfriend Taylor Swift’s book.

At least, that’s what ESPN’s Hannah Storm said during the Saturday, May 31, episode of NFL on ESPN.

“Can I just say, he’s gotta keep up with his girlfriend, who can do a three-and-a-half-hour concert without skipping a beat. And she does it back-to-back nights,” Storm said, taking an apparent shot at Kelce, 35, and his conditioning – or lack thereof.

While the upcoming football season is just around the corner — after speculation he would retire, Kelce announced his return to the turf on February 27 — the famous couple have reportedly been enjoying their “off time” together and away from the cameras.

Recently, the power duo were spotted enjoying a dinner in West Palm Beach, where they spent $400 on a date night. According to TMZ, the pair ordered an endive salad, cacio e pepe (cheese and pepper) pasta, lobster risotto, a dry-aged burger, Dover sole, wagyu filet mignon, garlic broccolini and potato puree, per the outlet. Swift enjoyed the Dover sole and lobster risotto, while Kelce ate the wagyu steak, burger and some of the pasta.

Kelce recently temporarily moved to Florida while he trains for the upcoming season. He’s been renting a $20 million abode in Boca Raton, which is approximately 25 miles from downtown West Palm. “Taylor and Travis are doing great, and they’re still very much together and in love,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in a cover story in April. “They’re just taking a break from the public eye.”

“Travis wants to take [a breather] from the public eye,” a second source told Us in April. “He was working too much last year, and he didn’t play as well as he wanted. He wants to have a good season and not have the focus be on his relationship with Taylor.”

However, Kelce has made sure to keep showing his support for Swift. After the singer announced she’d bought back her original masters on Friday, May 30, Kelce made sure to like the post — and so did the social media account for his “New Heights” podcast.

Swift has been rereleasing updated versions of her first six albums after her former label, Big Machine Records, sold the masters to a third party. She began by dropping Fearless (Taylor’s Version) in 2021, followed by Red (Taylor’s Version), Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and 1989 (Taylor’s Version). Along with rerecording the tracks fans know and love, Swift included previously unheard vault songs from each era on the albums.

She also shared an update on the status of her final two rerecords: Reputation and her self-titled debut. She confirmed that the 2006 album has been entirely rerecorded, but the same couldn’t be said for Reputation, which initially dropped in 2017.

“Full transparency: I haven’t even re-recorded a quarter of it,” she wrote. “The Reputation album was so specific to that time in my life, and I kept hitting a stopping point when I tried to remake it. All that defiance, that longing to be understood while feeling purposefully misunderstood, that desperate hope, that shame-born snarl and mischief.”

She continued, “To be perfectly honest, it’s the one album in those first six that I thought couldn’t be improved upon by redoing it. Not the music or photos or videos. So, I kept putting it off. There will be a time (if you’re into the idea) for unreleased vault tracks from that album to hatch.”
