House of Guinness is coming back for another round.
House of Guinness — a Netflix period drama from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight which premiered its first season in September 2025 — follows the four adult siblings of the famed Guinness family.
Members of the 1860s clan include Arthur (Anthony Boyle), Edward (Louis Partridge), Anne (Emily Fairn) and Ben (Fionn O’Shea). Their father, beer baron Sir Benjamin Guinness — the grandson of the founder of the Guinness Brewery, Arthur Guinness — has died, and their futures will now be determined by their father’s will.
“Here’s a deceased father deciding the fate of his children. The will determines the trajectory of each of those siblings,” Knight told Netflix’s Tudum in September 2025. “What’s a better place to start a drama than that? They all receive whatever they receive. None of them are happy.”
Death is just the beginning for House of Guinness, as beer-soaked scandal and drama unfolds for the siblings over the course of the series’ eight episodes, ending with a shocking cliffhanger.
Fans won’t be waiting for answers forever, though. On Aug. 24, Netflix announced that House of Guinness has been renewed for a second season.

Will there be a House of Guinness season 2?

House of Guinness was officially renewed for a second season in August 2026, nearly a year after the first season premiered.
“It was such a joy to bring the Guinness story to the screen, so I’m beyond thrilled to be continuing the story of one of the world’s greatest dynasties into Season 2,” Knight told Tudum. “I can’t wait to dive deeper into these characters and their complex relationships as they expand the Guinness empire.”

In August 2026, Knight told Tudum that there is “so much more” to learn about the Guinness siblings in the next season.
“We’ll see how they grow up because House of Guinness is about a family growing up together,” he said. “Even in Season 1, they change quite a bit. In Season 2, it will be interesting to see what changes and what stays the same.”
Even before House of Guinness was officially renewed, Knight was dreaming about what’s next for the Guinness family.
“In a perfect world, I’d like to take it on all the way into the 20th century,” Knight told ScreenRant in September 2025. “These things are not being announced, this is not decided. But if you look at even a cursory glance at the history of the Guinness family, they keep throwing up these dramas.”
The family members “keep making these mistakes” and “keep doing these wonderful things,” he continued. “There’s enough material there to keep us going all the way.”
Has the cast said anything about returning for House of Guinness season 2?

Series creator Knight isn’t the only one who wanted to return for a second season of House of Guinness.
Anthony Boyle, who plays eldest son Arthur Guinness, told the Mirror in September 2025 that he would “love to” do a season 2.
“I think the scripts were amazing and I really enjoyed the cast and directors,” the actor continued. “I loved it, I love the end product. It’s a show I’m really proud of and if they wanted to go again I’d be overjoyed.”
On Aug. 24, the day Netflix announced the renewal, Boyle celebrated the news on Instagram with a few photos, including one of him drinking a glass of Guinness. “HOUSE OF GUINNESS SEASON 2 CONFIRMED,” he captioned the post.
What will House of Guinness season 2 be about?

House of Guinness season 2 will continue the saga of the Guinness family siblings, including Arthur and his political ambitions — if he survives, that is.
The first season ended with a bang — literally, with Paddy Cochrane (Seamus O’Hara) firing his gun while Arthur gave a speech.
The episode cut to black before it was revealed who or what Paddy’s target was, but in real life, Arthur lived for decades longer, dying in 1915, per TIME.
