Faster Pussycat Singer Breaks Silence on Fiancée Falling Off Cruise Ship to Her Death
Taime Downe is getting candid on his grief.
The Faster Pussycat singer spoke out for the first time after his fiancée Kimberly Burch was presumed dead following an alleged fall off a cruise ship in March. She was 56.
“It’s a roller coaster,” Downe said May 30 on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk, per Blabbermouth. “I’m hanging in there. I’m just taking it a day at a time.”
The 60-year-old explained that he’s decided to embark on a tour, saying music will be “very therapeutic.”
“Everybody thought going out on the road and doing what I do and being with my family in my band would be good for me,” Downe shared. “[I’ll] get to see a bunch of fans and a bunch of friends across the country. So I think it’ll be helpful.”
He added that his “fingers are crossed” the experience helps him heal.
“I hope so. I’m just going out and doing what I love to do with the people I love,” he said. “So, I think it can’t be anything but therapeutic, you know what I mean?”
